Los Smash Bros | Mejores Hamburguesas en Tijuana — Restaurant in Baja California

I recently was in TJ for some dental work and went here to get a burger beforehand. I drove down from San Diego and heard about Los Smash Bros from a foodie friend. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly from the staff and the place was spotless clean and there were several families eating when I arrived which was strange because it was like 3pm and I was hoping to skip the “lunch rush” but there were still lots of people eating in there. I soon understood WHY.

I ordered a double smash bro, fries, and a chocolate/strawberry shake. I was nervous about my dental work so I wasn’t thinking much about it.

The food was delivered to my table in minutes and just the sight/smell of the food instantly melted my dental concerns away. And then I dove in.

Every element of this meal was a 5 star. I wish I could give more stars.

The buns were soft and fresh. But not so soft that the (very large) burger made a mess. It held that thing together as a PERFECT vessel. The beef was insanely tasty and cooked to perfection. Crispy edges (which smash burger places claim to have, but few have mastered… Not this place!) the center was perfectly cooked and juicy with the perfect flat top char.

The lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, pickles, the SAUCE! The sauce was a familiar thousand island but had a unique tang and flavor to it the complimented the burger as a pairing I’ve never experienced before! The fries were crispy and cooked to perfection. Almost like a steak fri met a shoe string fry and had a baby and boom… These fries will literally blow your mind.

Then the finale of the perfectly blended chocolate/strawberry 50/50 ratio. Topped with what tasted like in house whipped cream and a cherry on top. This isn’t that “shake in a bag” stuff they serve at in n out… This thing was a thick ice cream delight and was the perfect combo to wash this insanely delicious combo down with.

I will be down again and again, I want to bring my friends down here and I hope and pray they can bring these into the states because this was some of the best dining and service I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Fair pricing too. For such a premium meal I’d pay more honestly, it was that good.

Oh and, afterward, unlike a fast food joint meal, I felt at ease and not bloated or over filled. I think the quality of these ingredients leave you feeling great even after consuming such a feast. I went on to my appointment feeling well and at peace.

My mind is blown with this place, 10/10, I can’t wait to see this place expand throughout Mexico and hopefully the states too because this was the best burger and fries and shake I’ve ever had in my life! Love you Los...

I'm going back! This spot is legit! I found Los Smash Bros on Google looking for burger. Now I'll b honest, being from the U.S. I haven't had much luck finding a burger that I like in Tijuana. Los Smash Bros is definitely a location for a great burger experience. The fries are hot, crispy, and not too salty. The buns were toasted with the right amount of butter, leaving them crispy and still soft. The beef has a perfect blend, which allows for the cooks to make the crispy exterior while keeping the inside still juicy and savory. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner jonathan, and passing along my compliments on the burger experience I had. He was gracious, kind, and happy he could providesuch an experience. Hands down THE BEST burger in Tijuana. Unfortunately many places struggle to make a good quality burger with French fries that complement the meal.

Many Mexican restaurants I find don’t take the time to create quality flavor, which is simple, season the meat, add aromatics, but in Mexico and especially Tijuana often the idea is to just dump some sauces on top and be done, and unfortunately Tijuana is low on my list of Mexican cities with good food.
