Häagen-Dazs — Restaurant in El Medano Ejidal

The Ice cream is basic and small servings but service was horrible. Manager refused to honor 20% off local discount. My host lives here and the sign clearly states locals receive 20% discount. The lady at the counter pointed to a man sitting at a computer in the corner. He told my host that it did not apply for that day. He clearly made this up. When we complained he said he would call the police which we told him to do. Such bully tactics. Why would you treat the locals with such disrespect. Many other places to buy ice cream locally so do not pay for overpriced ice cream from this man. One star given since it is required for a review. For the benefit of the locals, here is the manager.

Reply to response: Clearly the review speaks for itself. Speak to your manager in the photo to understand the situation from his perspective. My friend lives locally along with her children. We all went in for ice cream. The sign you post in the front of the store offers a discount to the locals. She showed her ID and the server told her to speak to the manager. He said no, not today. We had already started eating the ice cream (very small scoops) at that point and when I took a photo the manager threatened to call the police which we told him no problem.
