Disappointing Experience

I recently dined here during my visit to Cabo, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. As someone who values excellent service and quality dining, I must say that this restaurant fell short of my expectations.

First and foremost, our server, Carlos, made the entire experience unpleasant. His demeanor suggested an air of superiority, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and belittled. His condescending attitude towards us made it difficult to enjoy the meal, and it significantly impacted our overall dining experience.

My boyfriend had discovered the restaurant through a TikTok review, and we were excited to try it out. However, I urge others to take a closer look at the reviews before making a decision. Numerous negative reviews have expressed similar experiences, which, unfortunately, I failed to heed. It is essential for the restaurant management to pay attention to such feedback and take appropriate action to improve customer satisfaction.

To add to the disappointment, the timing of our visit was particularly unfortunate. We had been enjoying exceptional service at our hotel the Waldorf Astoria during our stay in Cabo, where every aspect of our experience was exemplary. Therefore, selecting this restaurant for our last meal in Cabo was a regrettable choice, as it did not live up to the standards we had come to expect.

While the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant enough, the poor service overshadowed any positives. The food itself was mediocre, failing to impress with its taste or presentation. Given the abundance of exceptional dining options in Cabo, it is difficult to justify returning to this particular establishment.

I’ve visited this restaurant twice so far in my cobs trip and it really is a special place. I would say it is necessary to book in advance but they have always been really helpful in seating up without one.

My first visit I was really impressed, my boyfriend and I got the lobster bisque who can was light and fresh and very flavourful, and then shared the short rib which was tender and beautifully seasoned. We were full to bursting by the end of the meal, such delicious food and such big portions! Some cocktails helped wash it down, and I’d really recommend their hibiscus margarita! It was amazing! On this visit the staff were very attentive and helpful, and even though we were super content with what we’d eaten they gave us a free desert and free digestive of high quality tequila. I felt very valued as a customer.

Our second visit was for new year, the service this evening wasn’t quite as good as the first time and we felt a little rushed and unattended. I’m guessing because it was a busy evening. We had the tuna sashimi which tasted amazing and high quality, then for main shared the tomahawk steak, jumbo shrimp and lobster! Absolute mind blowing, the presentation was incredible, a feast for the eyes as well as the tongue! And the taste was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! I was practically dancing with every bite! Also couldn’t get over how good the baked potato it came with was! Every last detail of the meal was well though out.

Finishing with a delicious Mexican coffee and few cocktails, it was the end to a great evening. This place is definitely not to be missed, a true gem in Cabo! Do yourself a favour and get down here! I’m going to visit again before I leave...

Tucked away in the heart of Cabo San Lucas, Roasted Grill and Bar was a wonderful way to end our visit—elevated without being pretentious, and absolutely worth a stop if you’re looking for a memorable dinner experience in Los Cabos.

We started the evening with warm, crusty bread and creamy butter, a simple but comforting way to ease into the meal. Our Caesar salads arrived fresh, crisp, and generously dressed—classic, but executed perfectly.

The star of the evening was the Tierra y Mar (Earth and Sea) platter, which we shared. It was a beautifully presented mix of land and ocean flavors—succulent, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. We paired it with a bottle of Pinot Noir from their well-curated wine list, which complemented the dish beautifully.

Service throughout the night was friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed or overbearing. The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, which added to the overall experience.

While this would definitely be considered a higher-end restaurant by Cabo standards, it’s an excellent value for the quality of food, wine, and service. Honestly, a meal of this caliber would easily cost double in the U.S. Avoid the touristy locations nearby and visit here instead!

We ended the night with a delightful surprise—a thank-you slice of cheesecake, on the house. A sweet and thoughtful way to close out an already impressive meal.
