La Lupita Taco's did not disappoint, some of the best tacos in Cabo. Found out about this place by a YouTube review and had to try them. Our party was greeted by a friendly young woman who helped us to a table. We started off with the ESQUITE (Corn, Epazote, Cream, Mayo, Aged Cheese, Chile Piquin) which was served in a nice stone bowl (A+ for presentation) the corn was delicious and a great way to start the meal. Next was the Oyster special, it came with a few different types of oysters and clams and all were very good and fresh. Finally we get to the tacos, oh boy! There was a lot of choices on the menu, These are no lil street tacos, more like mini works of art 🤤 We went with ... CHEESE CRUST PASTOR (Marinated Pork, Asadero Cheese Crust, Cilantro, Onion, Pineapple), SHREDDED TONGUE (Beef Tongue, Chile Serrano, Cilantro, Green Onion, Corn With Turmeric), EL TAKESHI (Ribeye, Sesame, Hoisin, Ginger, Chives, Crispy Shallots, Flour), PORK BELLY (Watercress, Green Onion, Chile Serrano, Pink Corn), and FLANK STEAK (Chiapas Cheese, Arugula, Crispy Leek and Potato, Macha Sauce, Yellow Corn) Every taco was delicious and unique, fresh handmade tortillas, the salsa's added a nice boost and taste (I'm getting hungry again jus thinking of it) And to wash it down, a nice Chilada with a XX Beer šŸ» Service was good and attentive, they checked before serving us to make sure we didn't have any food allergies and described the food as they placed it on the table so we knew what we were eating. And for dessert ... Sorry too full to try, maybe in the next trip šŸ˜‰ In all we were pleased with coming here and left full, we will definitely be back!

I absolutely loved the food here!! We ordered the softshell crab tostadas, the beef with bone marrow tacos(which was the star of the whole meal!!!), husband ordered the marinated pork classic taco(was ok). They gave us a tiny free cup of seafood soup to start, I liked the soup with lime juice. I have also ordered the Lengua tacos - 4/5 Shrimp chipotle tacos was recommending by the waitress, I didn’t love it lol 1/5 but it depends on if you like shrimp I guess….. I am open to having shrimp but I guess I am picky with shrimps. Scallop tacos - not great because I did not like that much julienned carrots on top… it was not that tasty over all. The grilled salad was some of the best salads I have had in cabo! I would want to order it every time just to eat it with my tacos to cut down the carbs of eating the tortillas and to use the dressing as an additional dip. Also had the catch of the day taco, which was seabass today and was delicious! I am a fan of flour tortillas and that’s what it came with so I really enjoyed but the one dish I loved was the THIN CUT BEEF FILLET & BONE MARROW tacos. There was potato chips on top to go with the bone marrow and I just thought that was culinary genius. The service was lovely!! They gave my toddler son some free avocados and a tortilla which he enjoyed.

La Lupita was recommended to us by a Mexican artist friend of ours. He’s a very good cook and so we had high hopes. We were certainly not disappointed. We were seated in the sunny courtyard which was colorful and relaxing. Our first course was soups. Both the Sopa de Lima and the Sopa de Camarones y Tortillas were generous and flavor packed. The taco course was next and samples five tacos, each completely different from the next. The tortillas varied from blue corn to flour to crispy cheese. The crispy cheese pastor is their biggest seller and it packs a wallop of flavors. The squash blossom stuffed with huitlacoche was probably the most subtle. The guero with tempura shrimp and curry crema was probably the most unusual. I all cases there were layers of flavors and textures and they were assembled in a chefly way. All excellent. At the end we decided the 4.5 oz of mezcal in a flight was a bit much for lunch so we settled on a single pour from the extensive mezcal menu. It is poured tableside into small half gourd and accompanied by spicy salt and orange slices. The service was attentive and helpful. All in all great food with heart felt hospitality in comfortable and colorful setting.

Excellent food-TERRIBLE service.

My husband and I decided to venture out to dinner at La Lupita to take a break from our all inclusive hotel on our last night in Cabo.

While the food was great, the AWFUL service overshadowed the entire meal. First off, it was a different waiter/hostess every time we were approached about our orders. We literally had no idea who was actually even helping us. After finishing dinner, a full half hour went by and no one came over.. we had to flag another girl down and ask if we could have dessert menus. We sat there with the menus for almost 25 minutes before we had to flag another guy down and actually order the dessert… THEN after 45 (!) minutes of waiting with no communication, we had to flag yet ANOTHER guy down who said ā€œThey lost your ticket, it’s gonna be a bit more.ā€ No one ever came over to tell us this, or give us an update the whole time we were waiting.. instead, we were just sitting there frustrated, feeling ignored.

Finally, our original first waiter came over and randomly asked if ā€œ We wanted more tacos?ā€ Ridiculous! There’s no communication in this place.

When we got the bill they didn’t even compensate us anything for our trouble. We paid 10 dollars for WATERS and no one even apologized to us for the mess ups. It was the worst experience at a restaurant we...
