CafĂ© Trucha is easily one of our favorite cafĂ©s in Mexico City. Everything they offer is made with such care and high-quality ingredients — from organic milk to their homemade almond milk, every detail feels thoughtful and intentional.

The pastries and cakes are all made in-house by the chef, and they’re absolutely delicious — often decorated with fresh, beautiful edible flowers that make every dish feel special. The croissants and baked goods are some of the best we’ve had anywhere, and the cacao is truly outstanding. Their matcha (made with water) is also delicious and really highlights the quality of their ingredients.

The staff are wonderful: kind, attentive, and always welcoming. You can really feel the love and passion behind everything they do. A little tip — grab a table in the sun right next to the door. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee and a pastry.

Highly recommend this cozy,...

Please hire another waiter, poor girl, aproximately 12 tables for just one person is horrible, the service was definitely lacking for that exact same reason, but you can't blame her. The person who seemed to be the owner sometimes delivered items but most of the time just stood there. The food definitely deserves better, the BLT was really good, along with some fresh juice which was appreciated. The "cottage core" farm to table aproach is cute but the place is not well designed at all, with a bunch of seating over some ground storage which they have to ask you to move over or stand up to take items out as well as a horrible faucet in the bathroom with just enough room to put a finger or too under the stream. The whole place seems more like a pet project or hobby than a...

2 discerning foodies were very pleased! Axl was an excellent, helpful, attentive waiter. Great memory. I think he was the only server. Lattes were delicious! The best I’ve had here (of about 12 places). Had a Lavender latte and a Chai latte (both with an extra shot). Probably the best lavender latte I’ve ever had. Eggs with sage butter and bread was my favorite egg dish this trip. And the veggie and goat cheese baguette sandwich was very tasty. Sister had her sage eggs with bacon and said it...

This places deserves at least 7 out of 5 stars and their fig sandwich with wipped goat cheese deserves at least a Michellin star by itself. 😊 It is so wholesome you will feel good eating here. It is so tasty, delicate and hearty to be there. Paired up with their intention of sourcing the goods from local business and also from organic farming this place has a better effect of the world. Be better and go to CafĂ© Truncha!

Place feels welcoming just by walking around. They have a unique cake (the one in the picture), which taste is absolutely incredible. Prices are fair for the quality of the food and beverages. Wi-fi is only available from Monday through Thursday, so if you’re doing some remote work this is definitely an aspect to be considered. Loved the atmosphere (and the cake!). Would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.
