Villa Everest Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

While taking a walk around Thamel, saw this establishment and decided to grab a bite at this Korean spot. My friend and I shared some Kimchi Fried Rice and Veg Kimbap. They were alright, but honestly, nothing to write home about, especially for the price other Korean restaurants are offering. The Kimchi needs a bit more kick in it.

The vibe of the place is pretty cool, though. It’s got a nice spot for parking and you can eat outside, which is a plus if you don't want to smell the BBQ of other customer inside. The decor’s got this modern Korean twist that’s pretty neat.

But here’s the thing – the service wasn’t all that great. It felt like the staff just wasn’t into it, maybe because it was late or something, but it kinda put a damper on the whole experience. Not really sure I’d go back unless they step up their game with the food and...

Villa Everest at first is very cozy. You’ll feel very hospitable right from the gate till you move out from the same. As the menu might get confusing for the first timer, the service personnels are really intrigued to help and they have marvelous food. Definitely worth trying, whether alone or with your awesome group.

The food was actually very authentic and delicious. But this place is too expensive for the poorly-maintained restaurant you’re sitting in. With the 25% added on one person was nearly rs1000 just for food, but the in-table grill doesn’t work, they only offer alcohol or coffee/tea (no soft drinks or even filtered water), and the alcohol is insanely expensive, rs600+ for a bottle of domestic beer.
