I recently had the pleasure of visiting Pat’s Poffertjes in Amsterdam, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment you step inside, the delightful aroma of freshly baked mini pancakes fills the air, instantly making you feel at home. The poffertjes themselves were absolutely delicious! They were perfectly cooked, fluffy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. Each bite was a little piece of heaven. The variety of toppings available, from traditional powdered sugar and butter to more adventurous options like Nutella and fresh fruit, ensured that there was something for everyone. The staff at Pat’s Poffertjes were incredibly friendly and attentive. They made sure we were comfortable and satisfied throughout our visit. Their passion for what they do truly shines through in both the quality of the food and the service. The cozy atmosphere of the shop, combined with the exceptional food and service, made for a memorable experience. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, Pat’s Poffertjes is a must-visit spot in Amsterdam. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a delightful treat in a...

Came here with a friend to try her first time "poffertjes" and found our experience to be quite nice.

When we walked in we were greated kindly by both staff, ordered our poffertjes and were kindly asked to sit down. They would bring our order to the table and in the meantime we could catch our breath a little.

We ordered 2x the original poffertjes: powdered sugar and butter, which comes with 10pc per tray.

They do properly coat the tiny pancakes with heaps of sugar and butter, probably a bit too much for the original Dutch flavour. Yet nonetheless we did enjoy it.

The quality of the poffertjes were a bit "stickier" to what I am used to, but nothing that was unsatisfactory.

Both staff behind the counter were not Dutch, but they did an amazing job with customers, service and explaining the menu to tourists.

The shop looks plain and simple, yet it works with the fancyness of the register area.

Overall a great experience and would recommend tourists going here to try your poffertjes!

Ps: They have plenty of options for toppings too, yet as a Dutchie, that is not...

Pat’s Poffertjes on Oude Leliestraat was one of those places I stumbled into and will never forget. From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and sweet aroma of freshly made poffertjes pulled me right in. I went with the classic butter and powdered sugar, and honestly, it felt like pure comfort on a plate. Each little pancake was golden on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and the butter melted perfectly into every bite.

What surprised me most was how something so simple could taste so magical—it was the kind of food that makes you pause just to enjoy it. I couldn’t stop smiling while eating because it reminded me of childhood comfort food, only better. The staff were warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home, which just added to the charm. I loved that this wasn’t a rushed touristy stop—it felt like a local secret worth savoring. Even after I left, I kept thinking about how good those poffertjes were. If you’re in Amsterdam, this is the kind of place you’ll want to experience for yourself, because once you try them, regular pancakes just...
