Susie's Saloon — Restaurant in Amsterdam

The best bar in Amsterdam and I'll tell you why. the location is great. just off dam square and has a nice area to sit by the canal outside when the weather is good. good selection of drinks and considering the location they are very well priced. I'd recommend getting a pitcher of beer for even better value. there's a closed off smoking area on the other side of the bar so you can enjoy a smoke as I like to do as well as a beer. there's also a place to charge your phone in there too. there's a pool table and a pinball machine too for extra fun. the staff are all amazing and welcoming. great selection of music on the Duke box too. great little rock bar. Beware. putting on a new song on the Duke box seems to cancel the one that's playing or at least the rest of the ones already lined up. we had a great laugh watching people getting into little arguments about it but don't piss off the locals

Unwelcoming and Discriminatory Experience I recently visited Susie Sallon in Amsterdam and felt deeply uncomfortable and unsafe due to the discriminatory behavior I encountered. From the moment I walked in, I was treated as though I did not belong. A staff member with blonde, oxygenated hair, though she was a Viking for having that hair? who seemed to be in charge, made it very clear through her actions and attitude that foreigners, flashing racist signs. As someone who has traveled extensively, l've never experienced such blatant exclusion and prejudice. The environment gave off a hostile, white supremacist vibe, making it impossible to enjoy or feel safe. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values respect and equality. Be aware before visiting, especially if you are a person of color or a foreigner. I have reported this incident to the authorities and strongly urge others to avoid this...

Walked into this place with a group of my friends. Before we even got to the bar, we where told to get out and repeatedly sworn at and threatend by the staff. We had made no noise and where ready to get a round of drinks. The staff member then said as he physically pushed us out of the bar that we couldn't just use the toilet which had never been our intention. 5 minutes later, the same thing happened to another group of people.
