Taco Mundo Amsterdam-Oud West — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Ashaming and disgusting experience !!! So, I’m a long time loyal taco mundo customer, Since 2018. So yesterday my friend were at my house, and I recommended them to order some food from Taco Mundo as they were really hungry. We ordered specifying that we wanted to pay cash, an hour later the order arrived and we paid the delivery guy giving him even 3 euro Tips. Later on during the night, around 23.30, 2 young guys with 2 scooters came ringing the bell of my house , and as I opened my window balcony , they started telling me that my order had not been paid earlier and that I had to pay for it , or they would have called the police on me. As I came downstairs and explained the situation , they called me LIAR and that I was “ playing games “ and that we didn’t pay the order. After that, they started intimidating me saying that they wouldn’t leave unless I had paid and that another guy (the manager) was on his way to my house ( all of this at around 23:45 while I had already gone to bed). I had to pay the guys so they would leave !

So now, today I get a call from the manager saying that they are sorry and that they had a misunderstanding with the driver and that they would give me back the money. I would have accepted your apology if you didn’t insist so much, but after been called a liar and being intimidated in such a unprofessional way, I highly discourage anybody to order from this place. Bad organization and terrible employees.

I have never given a restaurant one star before but the food was really that bad. The food was cold when it arrived, even though the carrier arrived within 20 minutes.

I ordered a taco, quesadilla classic and some churros. They all arrived almost completely cold. The dough of the taco was soggy and everything fell out of the taco. Besides that the taco was flavorless, felt really wet which obviously shouldn't and was overal really disappointing 1/10. The quesadilla was decent, a 5/10, but also almost completely cooled off with barely any seasoning. They also make it seem as if you get 3 pieces of quesadillas, but you only get one. The churros where fine but not nearly as good as when you buy them freshly made so that's a 6/10.

The overall experience was really bad. I will never eat here again and advice anyone not to eat here. Spend some more money at another...

Attention! FOOD NEVER CAME! I made the order and PAID on-line but the order never came home. I cycled for half an hour to the Taco Mundo shop and they told me that they could not give me my money back and I had to send an e-mail through the web-site. If Ihad a good story they would give me my money back !@#$ I asked them to prepare my food as long as I was there, so I could avoid this discomfort, and they told me that I had to pay again! This is the worst service ever. Finally, the guy in the register told me "try again you might be more lucky next time".
