Coffee Lovers Cafe — Restaurant in Christchurch

We had a lovely lunch and coffee date in this beautiful cafe. The service and staff are 10/10 and the coffee is to die for. The location is superb close to all shops and the tram that runs through town. Very relaxing food is fresh tasty and lots of flavours to suit everyone’s tastes. The toilets were soooo clean and the food cabinet had a lot of variety and you can see the freshness I highly recommend this cafe as I’ve been to others in the area and you don’t get the friendly personal atmosphere. As the food in the other cafes near by are not fresh in the cabinets from experience . I would not hesitate to recommend my friends and work colleagues to this beautiful cafe. The food is okay, just average ( I had the avocado smash), but not great. But the worst thing was that the place was so dirty. Our table wasn't cleaned at all when the food was put down and it was clearly dirty from the people sitting before. All tables around us were covered with dirty dishes and it takes so long to clean one table because people working are not professionals (they don't even use the tray, the bring and pick up one dish/cup at a time). I was sitting surrounded by dirty tables and dishes the entire time I was there (1 hour). Once they clean the table from dishes, they don't clean the table itself. The floors, windows, chairs everything is dirty so that's the main reason I wouldn't get...

Good Coffee.

We were told the waiting time was 20 minutes, we’ve waited over 35 and missed our cab (supposed be coming between 30 to 35 mins).

We didnt even order food for the purpose of just getting our coffee done. And there were many times the coffee counter wasn't being used. If they mentioned 30 min or 40 mins waiting time, we would've politely just walked away.

Instead, we had to wait double the time and pay surcharge for holiday, without being informed it’s going to take much longer than what was mentioned.

If we didnt ask for a follow up, we wouldnt have gotten it.

Good coffee nonetheless. Just be honest with the waiting time next time, an extra 5 mins wouldve been ok, heck even 10, but...
