Good Times - Comedy Club — Restaurant in Christchurch

Don't go. I have been a loyal customer of good times for a while and would often bring new people and friends to help support the Christchurch arts. However, the host did not read the room and violated my belongings in front of everyone without consent. Ruined my $350 designer leather shoes. He also did this to another person, again without consent, who also did not appreciate having his expensive shoes destroyed. Considering the host, Snap, is also a face and founding member of Good Times, I hoped he had more respect and appreciation for customers who support Good Times Comedy Club. However, no compensation was offered to me or the gentleman.

I don't usually leave reviews, and this is my first negative review, but this is honestly the worst experience...

What a great night out! Small, intimate club where you can really make a "connection" with the performers. Great range of acts, from seasoned performers to those just learning their craft, so be prepared for more or less polish on some acts. The night I went all of them were funny, some in a high energy belly laugh way, others exploring a genuinly funny idea that was just as entertaining to go on the journey with them, even if it wasn't a laugh out loud riot. Lots of locals present who clearly love the place and are very welcoming. Well worth the $15 door charge on the night I went. I will be back next time I'm in Christchurch.

Decent range of drinks available and bar snacks...

I bought tickets to watch Cori Gonzalez since he had rave reviews from the research I conducted. The whole entire experience was cringing and its obvious he lacked preparation and was looking at his ipad on what jokes he was going to say next. He seems extremely anxious and nervous for someone who is touring to do his shows. I was flabbergasted by his subpar performance. I wanted to ask for a refund for the 3 of us but I figured it's more effective to do an honest review and hoping to get an explanation of this bizarre non-comedic performance.
