Denny's in Auckland CBD stands as a beacon of familiarity, providing a comforting refuge for families and individuals alike with its welcoming ambiance and an extensive menu that boasts an all-day breakfast spread, American-style delights, and a delectable array of treats ranging from French fries to irresistible cakes. The combination of quality ingredients and expert grilling results in a taste that transports diners to the heart of the United States. The menu's diversity caters to a range of preferences, from hearty sandwiches to flavorful wraps, making it a go-to spot for those seeking a taste of American comfort. French fries at Denny's are not just a side; they are a culinary delight in themselves. Perfectly golden and irresistibly crispy, these fries are seasoned to perfection, elevating them beyond the ordinary. Whether enjoyed as a sidekick to a burger or as a standalone snack, Denny's French fries are a testament to the culinary craftsmanship that defines the establishment. The dessert offerings at Denny's are a sweet symphony that provides a fitting conclusion to any meal. The cakes, with their decadent layers and exquisite flavors, showcase the commitment to quality that defines the culinary experience at Denny's. From rich chocolate creations to fruity delights, each dessert is a testament to the artistry of the pastry chefs. As always with Denny’s the food is on the pricey side but it’s a good once in a while restaurant to go to. The food was quite nice to have, I especially enjoyed the curly fries. I reckon the burger could have been a little better but not as bad as some others have been. The oreo milkshake, as always, is to die for and is well worth the $9 you have to pay for it. Great atmosphere, and great for the family (it is a family restaurant after all). However I will say it is a little difficult to get to by car, you have to make sure you are in the right most lane to not miss the turn off into the parking. I believe it’s free parking as long as you eat at Denny’s. We just parked a little further away and walked which was easier for us.

No Stars. Seriously if I could give zero stars I would. We came in for a bite to eat, the menu on the website showed pictures of the food.. it looked appetizing enough. We were seated and then waited at least twenty minutes for our order to be taken. I ordered sirloin steak medium rare and mashed potatoes and vegetables. My friend ordered fettuccine carbonara and salad. I also ordered a glass of coke and was told sorry, the machine is broken. Thirty minutes later no drink had arrived and then the waiter comes over and said sorry the order didn't go into the computer and so we had to order again. To compensate, the waiter then brought two glasses of apple juice instead of one, which was a nice gesture but my friend doesn't drink juice. We asked for her meal free instead but was told no, no, I cannot do that. We waited again and the fettuccine came out. The fettuccine was soggy, with dried/dehydrated bacon and 2 sliced mushrooms which seemed dried as well. The salad was a few pieces of lettuce, slice of tomato and the fattest slice of red onion I've ever seen. My steak took another ten minutes and when it arrived it had a little flag in it that said Medium Well. It was medium well - I had ordered Medium Rare - twice. Sheesh. The vegetables seemed like they came out of a freezer bag, or were cooked a long time ago and sat in a too salty, too peppery white sauce for hours. They were soggy and cold. I ate the steak - the mashed potato and gravy were barely palatable. The potatoes possibly came from powder. Ugh. The toilets were dirty, the staff were cheerful enough, but the manager Sat in a booth the WHOLE TIME we were there. If he had covered the bar/floor, his staff could have been cleaning the toilets. We'll never go back. The food is not in line with the pricing. The chefs need to use fresh ingredients and when mistakes are made, the restaurant needs to show hospitality.

Denny's offered quite good customer service, the Professionalism given by staff as soon as you walk thru the doors was exceptional such as Menus handed straight away, Tables were wiped down & Cleaned. We asked for our desserts first to kill time while they cooked our orders. Food was your average food, nothing too special & Nothing below average, I would recommend their Hot Mud Cake! Such a Delicate rich dessert suitable for all chocolate lovers! Who doesnt love food & a great view of the skycity! But I would say there were some minor faults with dining at Dennys, I asked for Medium rare steak & was served well done steak, wasn't too fussed about it as it was good porportions for what was described on menu. The Elevator smelled like damp mould that was very putrid. So we optioned to take the stairs after dining in. Decor for the venue needs a revamp but I would say fits the Style of a American influenced Restaurant. Thank you to the staff who serviced us on the night of 8th May! You guys offered a good service and I would come back for sure to dine in again! See you in the future wise. Thanks alot Team.

Took my family of 7 kids to have lunch here, spent over 200 dollars to feed them after a day out at the sky tower. The presentation for the drinks was nice. However, the food was not worth it and my kids ended up leaving alot of their food behind. I'm usually a positive critic going places, but I can honestly say that I won't be spending my money here because of the food and not because of their staff because they were lovely.I order pancakes for the kids and the kids complained that it was yuck, I did however had a nice lamb shank on mash and my brother loved the meat roll but the vege salad was not enjoyable , the veges didn't look fresh and pineapple looked like it came out of a can. The best thing I could take from here was the view that it had looking out to the sky tower and street was enjoyable for the kids . Parking is available on the side of the complex and there is a lift onsite for wheelchair access

The place has negative vibes, I don't like it. Walking in felt like being in a cop shop instead of a restaurant. Photos of people and trespass notices everywhere. And you have to order, get up, and pay at the counter first. Seriously, haven't they heard of wireless EFTPOS terminals? I understand some people have been leaving without leaving but this practice is very bad for your business. We saw 2 groups of people leave because they weren't attended to promptly. And personally, we were interested in having dessert after our meal but couldn't bother getting up and paying again, or waiting to pay because there is a queue. Food was average tasting, the regular fries tasted like mulched paper but the twister fries were so much better. The manager's customer service skills were at par with that of a shoelace. If not for one staff member who gave us a lot of smiles I would've just given this place 1 star.
