I randomly stumbled upon this place while looking for some lunch. The staff were very friendly and greeted me as I approached. I was recommended to try the "P1 Pho Viet" chef's signature dish, so I did. You get a large helping of soup with a good amount of noodles, beef strips, and other garnishes. The broth was SUPER rich and very flavourful, and I was pleasantly surprised at the value of the meal. At $16.50 it certainly isn't the cheapest meal around Auckland, but for a little more money you get a lot more in value. The food was very nourishing and I would recommend it to my friends to try it. Everything was delicious and my only comment would be that the lemongrass chicken although full of flavour is too small. The portion should be two chicken breasts rather than just one. The beef curry was also delicious and warmed my soul. This eatery is in the Elliot Street food court so quite easy to miss but if you've eaten at this food court before then try Nam Viet out! I'll be going back...
