I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for their service.
The first time I went there for dinner, I noticed they had a $14 lunch special including "Any chicken or vegetarian curry", Naan and drink. The butter Chicken we ordered was amazing, but they didn't give us any utensils.
The second time I wanted to order for lunch, I checked on their website and there was no lunch special. So I rang them and asked "Do you guys have a lunch special?" which they simply replied with "No". I found that a bit strange, and thought maybe I misremembered. I proceeded to try order online but my payment method wasn't working. No worries, I thought, I'll just ring them to order. I rang and asked to order a takeaway, which they replied with something that sounded like "You can order on lean". I asked "Sorry what was that?", followed by the same reply. I then realized she meant "online", and said "Oh, order online?", which I was going to follow up with "that didn't work for me", but she just said "Yes" and then hung up on me, which I thought was quite rude. I proceeded to use a different payment online to pay instead.
Once I got there to pick up my food, I noticed the same lunch special sign outside, which made me quite upset to see. I went inside and picked up my food, but I told her "I rang before asking for a lunch special, which you said you didn't have, but I see the sign outside". She replied something similar to "Oh, well, we weren't open yesterday (Sunday) so there's no food on display, and the lunch special is only for walk ins, so thats why I denied you". I just said "Oh, okay..." and left (I also didn't get given utensils again).
This interaction was very confusing. Why was the sign out if the lunch special wasn't available? Implying that part of the reason she couldn't offer me a lunch special is because they weren't open the previous day doesn't make sense, as she was still able to make the food that I finally ordered, Butter Chicken... Then to say it's only available if you walk in and take what's on display is misleading at best, as the sign says "Any" chicken or vegetarian curry, not "whatever curry we have on display". Ultimately, I left there feeling like she lied to my face just to save money, as I paid $19 per meal instead of $14, and didn't get a drink.
In conclusion, the food is good but they may lie to you to...
