The Coffee Club High Street — Restaurant in Waitematā

The female manager with choppy black hair, whom I believe is the manager, is extremely rude and needs to learn customer service skills. I ordered a flavoured hot chocolate which I’ve had at other coffee clubs without issue, but here I just couldn’t taste the flavoured syrup very much and so I politely requested for a little bit more so I would be able to taste it. She looked angry at my asking and refused as she stated she had put enough in. I went back to my table confused and a bit upset as my request wasn’t too much and I had asked politely and didn’t get a polite response. I gathered my courage up and went back and politely asked again for just a small pump more as I really couldn’t taste it, and she repeated what she initially said as well as saying she should charge me extra. She eventually added the extra bit of syrup very sloppily and with a massive attitude and didn’t stir it in. When I asked for a spoon to stir it she said in what can only be described as an angry manner that there are spoons outside on the table, rather than just passing me one next to her. She didn’t smile once and came across like she hates her job and hates people too. She shouldn’t be working in a customer facing role and will ruin your coffee...

Me and my wife been out today for a huge celebration.after a long day we stop for a Coffee and some snacks. 42 high street coffee club we reached.after reaching there we place our order at the counter and took a seat at the available table.we got a large coffee then after meal. As soon as we got the meal I had a bite and in that time a lady came and said she reserved a table where we were sitting. And pointing at a color paper said this is a symbol of reservation.(it doesn’t say reserved or any name).anyway 2 nd minute I got a guy and said same thing to change the table. I told him to wait for ten minutes and once I finish I will move. In next 30 second again a lady came and ask same question. My point is when you ask me to take a seat then you serve me coffee on that table. You didn’t explain that the table is reserved . Please change. You serve my meal on that table and again no word. What kind of service is that. I felt very bad. I left the place...

The food at coffee club (chain/ franchise wide) is way too overpriced for the quality & quantity of food you get. Also the build your own breakfast is a huge rip off so don't be fooled into getting it as an ‘allergen friendly option’.

The staff are great but yah, coffee club needs to reevaluate their prices and serving sizes. Dont charge me $25-$30 for a singular pancake, thats ridiculous. Coffee club has aways been overpriced but its getting ridiculous, the build a breakfast (which ended up basically being a vegan eggs Benedict) had 2 pieces of bread, half a cup of mushrooms, half a tiny avo and a single hash brown cost almost $30????
