La Balsa Cafe Restobar — Restaurant in Iquitos

I ate at this floating resto bar twice and might go a third time. They have the best cocktails. I went back specifically for their mojito de fresa. It was full of fresh strawberries and not too sweet. Their food is incredible too. Their ensalada fresca (pictured) had so much avocado in it and came with a delicious garlic dressing. We also ordered ceviche amazónica and tiradito of something. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. And THE VIEW is unbeatable. Our table was right on the river. The music is nice although a bit too loud....

Came here a couple of times last year. Nice place, great atmosphere. A bit of a problem where almost everything we tried to order was unavailable, but the things we did manage to order were great and the staff was very friendly. The view is great. Watching the birds, fish, bats etc was fun. I think I remember a sweet tabby cat named Tigre living here hanging around the bar.
