We always try to visit this place whenever we come for vacations. We ordered Bangus sinigang which was not a disappointment because of its unique blend of flavours from guava & pineapple. The crispy hito was very good as well and actually it’s our first time to eat hito cooked this way. The laing 2 ways was okay and for me the size of the serving is just enough. The pork bbq was just regular tasting but still good. Atmosphere was great. The only set back of our visit was the fact that we always needed to call the server. First, when we entered the restaurant there was noone that greeted us. We had to literally go to the cashier counter to be assisted to the table they prefer to be occupied first. They gave us the menu and after waiting for some time, I had to call the server again to get our orders. Wait time for our food is reasonable though. Nobody checks on us so we always have to call for condiments, & drinks. If staff is the problem then it must...
Read moreFOOD - overpriced. some good and bad but the worst ones were the smoked chicken from Inihaw samples, squid, and the LECHON itself. It's not actually the lechon that we traditionally have. ITS DEEP FRIED, dry, hard and chewy AS HELL. Even the staff was struggling to cut it. Smoked chicken from Inihaw samples has no taste (as in no taste) and only has that smokey taste. same goes for the squid. some of parts of the inihaw samples are good but also too chewy and not hot (not even close to warm). Additionally, they served the halo-halo first and foremost before the main course meal. Maybe because they are also aware about how long it takes for them to finish serving our food. (the halohalo had melted before we even got our meal because i was intentionally saving it for the last). *Kudos to the male staff who served us because he was also laughing while we were making jokes about the lechon being hard as...
Read moreI was ready to give a low rating since it was a Saturday morning (around 11-ish) & there were only two tables occupied but it seemed like it took an hour for the food to be served.
Luckily, the food was really good, & enough to save this review. I've also been to other Mesa branches & the long preparation isn't a recurring thing. The service crew was also good.
The bundle/group meals are excellent value for money. But if you were to order single dishes, go for the seafood ones (scallops & crispy boneless tilapia) & special rice variations (sisig & tinapa) - those are the rockstars. The stuff like pancit, grilled chicken, pork bbq (though good) won't really...
