Disappointing Experience at Chili's (One Ayala Branch)

Although food was undoubtedly pleasing, the whole experience was rather marred by the substandard service. I chose to be dressed casually and comfortably fashion that would be acceptable even at home and was dismayed to be treated differently because of it.

During our visit, I observed the staff members looking at me over and over again, whispering among themselves, and exhibiting unprofessional attitudes. In spite of the fact that I was taking my friends out for a meal, we were confronted with slow, snobbish service and the general environment of judging us. The apparent assumptions made about us based on how we looked made me feel ill at ease and not welcome.

Unfortunately, it appears this was not a one-time occurrence. I subsequently found out that another patron, Jackelyn Pineda, was treated the same way three months prior.

I hope this review will prompt Chili's to correct the manner in which customers are treated, no matter how they dress. Respect and professionalism should be the norm for...

A few months ago, we ate here, but unfortunately, the chicken was undercooked—it still had blood on it. We raised our concern, and the male manager handled it well, having the dish recooked and even offering us a free voucher, which we declined.

Last Saturday, we decided to give this place another try, but the experience was disappointing. The customer service was poor so as the lady manager, likely because they struggled to manage the peak hours, especially with seating. What stood out to us was how they handled table clearing. There was another table near us that had finished eating before we did, yet their table remained uncleared for quite some time. Meanwhile, our table was cleared even before we had paid, which gave us the impression that they were trying to rush us out, possibly because of the long waitlist outside. It left an unpleasant impression and made the atmosphere uncomfortable. I wasn’t even in the mood to take photos...

Walking into Chili's for the first time, we made the classic mistake of ordering with our eyes, anticipating modest portions. What a delightful shock it was to see the massive serving sizes! While we couldn't conquer it all, every bite was a testament to a fantastic meal. The boneless barbecue chicken was a standout: unbelievably soft, tender, and seasoned to absolute perfection, bursting with juiciness. The accompanying corn and skin-on potato fries were the ideal complement. We were equally impressed by the quesadillas, which were flavorful and expertly seasoned. And the tomato salsa and chips? A definite "bomb"! The crispy, thin nachos paired with the vibrant, tangy salsa created an irresistible combination. To top it all off, the cheesy nachos with jalapeños were an explosion of flavors, truly a fiesta in every bite.
