I can still remember the first time I tasted the divine Ilocos empanada-in Ilocos of course! Watching it being cooked in deep oil and having Sarsi while eating it!
It’s a good thing that Fariñas Ilocos Empanada have locations here in Manila. It’s a good way to enjoy one of the famous delicacies from up north. Though this resto isn’t limited to empanada only but various foods that placed Ilocos on the foodie map. Bagnet, chichacorn, chicharon, Vigan longganisa and the ubiquitous pakbet among others!

The Service: Hmmm. Nothing special here either.
The Food: One of the emapanada's eggs was not even cooked. Sure, there's a lot of orders, but I just wish they didn't rush. It was a complete waste of effort and time going there. We ended up not finishing our empanadas.
