I'll never go back to this restaurant again. Dined here on a Sunday and the place is not that full (not all tables were occupied) but you can clearly see that they are understaffed. And because of that, it took a while for us to be seated and for our orders to be taken. To the management of this branch, do something so your staff isn't overworked. There's no staff outside to greet us because everyone was busy, so we had to enter and find someone we can ask where we can sit. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm entitled that I had to be greeted in every restaurant. I think it's only polite to wait until the staff allows us to enter the premises (because what if there's walk-in reservation pala?). Anyway, that's not my main concern. A group of older people were immediately accommodated to their seats. Their orders were taken promptly. While we had to raise our hands 3-5mins before someone actually come to our table to get our orders. I don't know if they're deliberately ignoring us. But the kitchen staff saw us raising our hands, (we had an eye contact) and yet didn't even bother calling the attention of the servers.
Quality of food is also subpar. It tastes bland. This is the worst ramen I ever tasted in my whole life. Meat in the gyoza tastes sour. I'm fine if the quantity of food is less than usual as long as the quality is great. But in this case, everything is just worst. I barely leave Google reviews for restaurants I dined with. What we experienced in this restaurant is so BAD, I had to leave a negative review not to destroy an image but to call out the management to do something about their customer's horrible experience so it won't happen to their next customers. Regardless, I'll never...
Read moreI wanted to share my experience at Hakata Tonichi Top of Glo from December 1, 2024. I picked this restaurant because it was the first thing I saw, and their food poster looked promising. I was meeting friends there, but I arrived earlier and got seated at a table for four. Since I was starving (it was already 2 PM and my first meal of the day), I ordered right away.
The server mentioned a 20-minute prep time, which I thought was fair given the time. However, 20 minutes passed, and still no food. After 40 minutes, I politely followed up, only to be reminded that I had been told about the prep time. I explained that it had already been twice as long as promised.
One of my friends arrived after 50 minutes, and I figured it was a good time to follow up again and let her order. But the staff just asked us to wait another 20 minutes. By this point, I noticed other tables receiving their orders—even ones that ordered after me. In total, I waited 1 HOUR AND 30MINS—the longest I’ve ever waited for food at a restaurant.
When the food finally came, it was average—not bad, but nothing special for the price. What really left a bad impression was the staff’s attitude. They weren’t friendly, didn’t apologize for the delay, and seemed indifferent throughout the entire experience.
Overall, the long wait, lack of service, and indifferent staff made it an experience I wouldn’t want to repeat. I won’t be...
Read moreI love how affordable this place without sacrificing quality. I've been here thrice and their service and quality of food hasn't changed a bit. On my first and second time going there, I ordered the Ton Ichi Ramen (₱180) and cheesy gyoza. It was very similar to Ramen Nagi's butao although the chashu is thinner. Well, you get what you pay for. The cheesy gyoza also tasted good; it's well balanced, I like how the cheese goes well with the gyoza's flavor profile. On my 3rd time going, I decided to order something different. I ordered the Katsu Curry, and I loved it!!! The only thing I didn't like is that I ate so much rice. We ordered also California Maki rolls and for ₱250, it's a steal because I think we had 10 pieces. Even Tokyo Tokyo is more expensive. The only thing that made me hesitant to give 5 stars is that they don't accept cards. At this day and age, it's hard to always carry lots of money, and when you're hungry, would you even be in the right mind to go visit...
