I've been a Nono's fan ever since the first branch opened at UP Town Center, and I've been coming back to eat at the Three Central branch after moving to Valero street around 2018.
I would often eat at this branch but for the first time in at least 5 years, I had the worst service yesterday (July 31) .
To recount the issues we encountered: Right upon entering the restaurant, we were informed that closing time is already near, as if to tell us that we could not dine in. This was not even 8PM yet, and when we told the server there is still over an hour until closing time at 9PM, she simply said "ah okay po"
We ordered cookie skillet, and explicitly told them that it should be served towards the end of our meal. After we asked it to be served, it was brought out within 5 minutes, however with the ice cream topping already fully melted and covering the entirety of the skillet. When we inquired about this, we were told that the freezer was supposedly broken. However, this was not told to us when we made the order, which would have allowed us not to choose this in the first place. Furthermore, they were able to replace the melted ice cream with frozen ice cream afterwards, which makes us question if there was an issue with the freezer in the first place.
We requested our leftover pasta and cheese panini to be taken out. Right after receiving the takeout boxes, we immediately noticed that one of the containers was improperly sealed with tape, as the lid had opened before we could even leave Nono's. This morning upon checking the contents, we also realized that they had placed the pasta and panini within the same box, while placing the garlic bread (which came with the pasta) in the second container.
We hope that your service will be improved the next time we return to Nono's, as this used to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, we may no longer visit this particular branch if our next experience there...
Read moreDisappointing Experience with Nono’s Free Cake Offer
We were excited about Nono’s promotion offering a free cake, especially after spending a considerable amount (7,000 PHP) via dine-in, as instructed. After our initial visit and the substantial amount spent, we received an email confirming our eligibility for the free cake. Wanting to clarify the details, we even reached out and were advised that we could claim the cake within a specific time frame.
However, when we returned today to claim it, we were suddenly informed that we needed to spend another 1,500 PHP to avail of the offer. This requirement was never mentioned during any of our previous communications. We felt misled and frustrated, especially since we had already spent the required amount during our last visit, making us eligible for the free cake without further conditions.
Clear communication and honoring promotions are crucial for customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed and questioning whether we would return to Nono’s in the future. We hope Nono’s management can address this issue and improve how they handle their promotions...
Read moreNono's is a favorite go-to and today, I decided to go for their specialty, Roasted Beef Belly. ( Several fish dishes were not available.)
Comparing the actual dish to the photo on the menu, the slices were definitely thinner. In fact, there was hardly any meat because of the "nerves" ( gatil in Filipino) and excessive fat . In short, my main dish was extremely disappointing considering it is supposed to be a Nono's favorite. In fairness to the restaurant, the manager offered to replace it AFTER I showed the waitress the fat and nerves I had removed ( which I took a photo of). The manager then offered to remove it from the bill, which I greatly appreciated because there was really no value for money.
To conclude, even if I ended up not paying for the beef belly , I would never order it again nor would I recommend it.
The saving grace was dessert - the Oblivion cake: rich, moist, very chocolate-y but not too sweet. This...
