I Luv Backyard BBQ — Restaurant in Malay

During my recent visit to Boracay, I had the pleasure of dining at ilovebbq, a unique restaurant that specializes in serving meat on hot stone plates with rice. I must say, it was a delightful experience!

I decided to try the honey mustard ribs with rice, and I was not disappointed. The ribs were succulent and tender, perfectly coated in a delicious honey mustard glaze. The flavors were well-balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness and tanginess. The hot stone plate added an extra sizzle to the dish, enhancing the overall presentation and taste.

However, one downside of my experience was the long queue. We had to wait for about 20 minutes before being seated, which can be a bit frustrating, especially when you're hungry or have time constraints. It's clear that ilovebbq is a popular spot, and the wait time is indicative of its popularity. Despite the wait, I can say that the delicious food was worth it.

The ambiance of ilovebbq was casual and inviting, with a lively atmosphere. The staff members were attentive and friendly, providing prompt service once we were seated. The menu had a good variety of meat options, and I'm sure there are other mouthwatering dishes to explore on future visits.

Overall, my dining experience at ilovebbq was a memorable one. The honey mustard ribs with rice were a standout, offering a delightful combination of flavors. While the long queue was a minor drawback, the quality of the food and the interactive dining experience made it a worthwhile visit. Story time! Lunch at I love Backyard BBQ in Boracay. We asked for what's the best seller and our server says ung baby back ribs. I was not really craving for it so I asked for old fashion Ribeye steak and was told sold out daw un, change to pepper steak but was told that ung meats that are ribeye is sold out so we ended up ordering Baby Back ribs and pulled pork. Food was good as in masarap and we are enjoying it. But here's the catch. Nag pantig tenga ko when the table next to us ordered Ribeye and pepper steak I was expecting the server to say to them that sold out ung food. But low and be hold he didn't say anything. He just took the order and left. Nawalan ako ng gana bigla kahit na masarap ung food.

Hindi na ako mapakali kasi I felt cheated. Na meron naman pala. I called another waiter to explain what happened. Funny thing is sinabi niya na kakarating lang daw ng stock and told me they have been waiting for it to be available for the last 3 months. I was not buying it kasi nag work ako sa hospitality industry and if something is sold out for that long they would have placed something on the menu mentioning it's sold out. That guy just openly and shamelessly up-selled something.

Ate at Dinner Time and there is a queue.

I do understand the dinner rush however, the waiting time extends as they tend to take orders first instead of sitting the customers despite having available tables.

Queue is also not monitored well as they provided menu and assist the customers behind us instead of assisting us first when we are already next in line which resulted to us ordering longer when it is our turn.

Food.

The Bulalo Steak is nice. A good twist of food .

Surf and Turf. We really like the Mashed Potato not on the Creamy flavor but the texture is the best. The Rib eye is also balances everything.

Baby Back Ribs. this is their BestSeller. We ordered the Large one and i think it’s good for 4-5 persons already. The Meat is tender and flavorful. However when you are already at the center part of the meat, the flavor lessens and sauce is needed for you to enjoy it.

Root Beer Float- Nothing Special, just root bear with ice cream haha

Overall, the food is nice but service can be improved. I was actually raising my hand for assistance and already made an eye contact with one of their staffs yet, he still ignored us.

Best Time to Eat is Probably their Off peak hours if you want to...
