I just can't help but burst with gratitude and joy as I extend my heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible team at Kuya J's Azalea Boracay Branch for making my son's 6th birthday an absolute blast! We initially planned a simple dinner to mark this special occasion, but little did we know it would turn into a magical celebration overflowing with warmth and generosity.
From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was buzzing with excitement, and the aroma of freshly cooked food teased our senses. Despite a brief wait of 10-15 minutes, every dish arrived piping hot and bursting with flavor. And when the crispy pata took a tad longer, the manager swooped in with a pitcher of ice tea, sweetening the wait with a thoughtful gesture.
Then came the heartwarming surprise: as I searched for a lighter to ignite my son's birthday cake, the team sprang into action, serenading him with a lively birthday song that echoed through the restaurant. The whole crowd joined in, creating a moment we'll cherish forever. And just when we thought it couldn't get any sweeter, they presented us with a complimentary leche flan, complete with a candle for my son to blow out, adding an extra sprinkle of joy to the evening.
But the generosity didn't stop there! Embracing Filipino tradition, they graciously served us delicious pansit, reminding us that no birthday celebration is complete without this iconic dish. And as if that wasn't enough, they crowned our feast with their signature ice cream ube halo-halo, delighting our taste buds one last time and leaving us with memories to treasure.
To the wonderful staff at Kuya J's, you truly went above and beyond to make my son's birthday unforgettable. Your warmth, hospitality, and genuine care transformed a simple dinner into a magical experience we'll forever hold dear. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for making us feel like family and filling our hearts with gratitude and joy. You've left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we can't wait to create more memories with you in...
Read moreWe had our breakfast here which is included on our hotel booking with Azalea. We were supposed to stay 2 nights in Azalea but decided to leave after 1 night because of the breakfast in this restaurant.
This is the worst breakfast I have ever experienced in Boracay compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The service was terrible. The coffee cups were not washed thoroughly and you can still see wash stain on them if you can get any since they are always running out of coffee cups. No creamer available so all coffees are black, and only brown sugar is available. Cutleries are also running out all the time and you still have to request and wait(spoon and fork). This is also the only breakfast buffet I have experienced that does not serve eggs. For a Filipino restaurant, this is so upsetting that there are no eggs available. Also they are serving Spicy Pancit for breakfast, which they call Asian Noodles.
The worst part of this is that I found some fish or chicken innards on one empty plate of fruits which smells really fishy. Finding this in a fresh fruit plate really shocked me and I reported it to one of the personnel in the restaurant but I was ignored, he just took all the empty fruit plates and left. I would not recommend eating here, and would never go back even if it is for free. I would also have second thoughts about booking with Azalea if they are still serving breakfast from Kuya Js. Very unsanitary and every employee we encountered in this restaurant are either snobby...
Read moreI recently dined at Kuya J Restaurant and had a rather disappointing experience, despite the delicious food. I ordered Beef Sinigang, Half Kuya J Chicken, Kalamansi Juice, and a Mango Shake. Unfortunately, the Beef Sinigang, Kalamansi Juice, and Mango Shake never arrived.
I initially assumed the delay was due to a busy kitchen, but I noticed that the staff and even the manager were more focused on their mobile phones. At one point, I saw the manager in a black shirt taking a selfie by the till, which struck me as unprofessional, especially considering the restaurant was not busy at that time.
When I requested a knife for my half chicken, the staff provided me with a steak knife, stating it was the only available option. Additionally, there were no table napkins provided, which I believe should be standard and not something customers should have to ask for.
After waiting, I inquired about my missing drinks and food, only to find out they had not been prepared at all. This led me to cancel the items and settle the bill to leave.
While I truly enjoyed the chicken, the overall service left much to be desired. The restaurant staff definitely needs further training to improve their attentiveness and professionalism. I hope my experience is taken as constructive feedback and that future diners have a...
