Every visit to Boracay deserves a highlight event. So apart from the iconic sunsets, the powdery white sands, and the azure waters, consider this: a dazzling drag show in a rustic island hut! Unique, memorable, entertaining. Now, that’s an event that only Rainbow Café can offer.
Let me be clear, the drag show evening entertainment is not there to overcompensate. Rainbow Café easily ticks the basics with delight.
Rainbow Café food was really good. The pastas are tasty, the Filipino favorites are done well, the bar chows are yummy, and the rest of the menu is a collection of enjoyable bits. I recommend the longanisa bolognese.
Rainbow Café service was nice. The staff members were attentive and swift.
Rainbow Café ambiance was homey and maintains the island’s chill vibe.
Rainbow Café entertainment is top-notch. The 8pm – 10pm drag show performances were truly amazing. They’re engaging, mesmerizing, funny, and made for the island audience. The intimate setting makes the experience interactive. I particularly enjoyed the comedic lip-synching of the classic ballads.
Finally, the Rainbow Café crowd is super. Families, group of friends, couples, guests from the world over, LGBT allies, and even conservatives, all there to just have a good time in the island. Guests are even free to do their own show during breaks!
So, if you're looking to put a highlight event on your Boracay trip, I assure you that a visit at Rainbow Café during drag show nights would offer you something sticky, surprising, and satisfying.

Read moreIt's a cute nice place but needs some work. The drag shows are good and very fun. I love the queens and their performance. The issues are the heat, it is very uncomfortable inside as they need more fans to create circulation. They also have a rule that you can't order drinks when the show is on which makes no sense. The space is big and there is room for service to occur when they show is running. Drinks are how you make money so I am not sure why they have the rule. This place has potential but needs to fix a few things. I have been 3x now and enjoy it.
Update to review:
They fixed the heat and the place now is much more comfortable however the food is not very good and is very overpriced compared to other places on the island plus they now charge you and extra 200 to 300 peso when the drag show is going. I had the pork belly dish which was uneatable due to the fact that all the pork was fatty and minimal meat.
I really want this place to succeed but they need to fix the bad food and the overpriced food menu and they'll be on their way to a...

Dinner experience was amazing, you are greeted by one of the nicest crew in boracay, food took a little while but it was worth it, very flavorful, delectable and has a decent serving. Cocktails were good as well. Alma invited me for the drag show and i went the following night (Jan 28, 2024).
Drag show has more people for sure, and after the show i realized why it was packed, the show was magnificent!!! From the classic and energetic drag show of Amazing Alma to the sexy and campy antics of Divina Diva to the opulent stylings of the gorgeous Miss Dimple and the fun and jaw-dropping stunts of Tata Retita, this is definitely worth your time, 10’s across the board! Kudos to Keith as well for being an amazing emcee.
This cafe and lounge is so underrated, this spot deserves more recognition. It may not be as loud or extravagant as the other places but surely this place feels like home. I will surely be back next time I...
