Good front desk, polite staff. That's the best part of staying here... Offered breakfast buffet but only for 2 adults though the rooms supposedly sleeps 4... You have to add php270 for another. The problem is that it's in another hotel: their sister hotel La Carmella de Boracay, around 5min walk if you're a fast walker but difficult road to go to coz the road is not flat or fixed... Sprained my ankle twice :( Location IS near beach front though (15min even if you walk really slow), near Talipapa with its fresh seafood market, tiangges & souvenir shops. It's at Station 2 but because it's difficult to drive through (like a back alley) the driver of the transport service refused to drop us off at the doorstep of the hotel (not fault of hotel but misrepresentation of transport service personnel who said "We will drop you off at the door!" Lying transport personnel!!! Could have just told us hotel was in a back alley!!!). Housekeeping is at 3pm. They even wipe the walls coz moisture gathers on the walls... Rooms are small & crowded. Saw comments on other hotel search pages but the pictures are not accurate. Beds are in front of 1 window with (good) a/c & balcony door... Really crowded... Have flat-screened small cable TV, one small table, a mirror the size of the TV, a clothes rack for hanging wet stuff and soap and towels. Extra blankets are php50 a piece... No laundry service. There are 3 electric outlets in the room we stayed in :) T&B is small & moderately clean. They have hot shower and give tissue rolls by request. Locks are not topnotch but they have security cameras. Deposit for incidentals is php2k at the moment, refundable on checkout. No elevators so if you got the rooms on 2nd floor (like we did) you're lucky... :D Summertime right now and we got good weather so swimming, fun, walking, shopping is not too difficult. Overall...
Read moreWe booked a semi-deluxe room with 2 double beds, good for the 3 of us + toddler. Towels are clean and there is a place where you can hook your clothes and towels to dry them. Hubby asked the staff to clean the floor when we arrived, it was too dusty or sandy. Faucet in the toilet sink is screaking when whenever we open it. At the lobby, there is a 24-hour receptionist and security. A plus!!!||Breakfast is plated at La Carmela with the option to upgrade to buffet for P100 but since they are serving the same breakfast everyday, I don't think it is worth the upgrade. If you are staying for a few days, you can choose the viands/set meals in rotation otherwise magsasawa ka. Plus, we are not a big eater so lugi kami sa buffet. ||Staying here also has a pool access to La Carmela, just ask for a pool access stub. This is great for us who has a toddler, swimming in the pool when its too hot at the beach. This is also a plus for since you can get the same room at other hotels for the same price but only Travelodge has a pool access. (Yeah, I've done my research).||Staff is kind and always smiling (which we all like for the good vibes vacation). There was once a conflict in cleaning sched when we extended our stay, they thought we are checking out so they did not clean the room. That was forgivable though. ||Overall, its an average hotel with plated breakfast and pool access. Just enough for an average vacation place to stay. May also need a few...
Read moreThis is now Boracay Travelodge Beach Resort. If you're looking for a budget-friendly and a hotel away from Boracay's noise, this is the place to be. Value for money as you can get free access to La Carmela's swimming pool, their sister hotel. The room includes set breakfast (good for 2), that you can redeem at La Carmela Hotel, which is just a 3-minute walk. We had the deluxe aircon room that's good for 4 persons with a veranda. Though, you will have to pass by the sandy beach or the small alley going to the highway that's guarded by a bulldog (good luck!) going to the hotel. It's very near D'Talipapa if you would want to buy cheap pasalubong items and eat seafood dampa-style. It's also a few meters from D'Mall where you can find mid to high end restaurants. Only down-side is the set breakfast that's only good for 2 pax despite booking a room for 4. We have to pay additional P190/pax for the other two. Also, it would have been better if they have a ref even at the reception area to...
