Palm Tree Modern Filipino — Restaurant in Malay

After eating buffet lunch at Henann sea breeze, we were lazy to look for a dinner spot at night and decided to take the bbq night dinner buffet here at palm tree by henann palm beach.

I took alot of scallops and mussels (because it is buffet) but didnt realize that this actually caused my food poisoning. They should revisit the quality of their food because i didnt get a good experience at all.

Their main carvings like the - US beef chuck dont provide option on the doneness. When i asked the "chef" at the station, he just told me that there is no option for rare or medium doneness. So it is super well done, chewy and salty.

The pork belly is also not ok. Better to ask the "chef" to reheat it because the hardened fat and soggy skin is not ok.

Very limited option on fried station as well. Always no stock available at this area. Considered that these are just chicken skin and fried isaw but it is not crispy. All seems to be soggy.

Fish fillet with ginger very salty as well. Dimsum is overcooked, and soggy.

Some food that i appreciate would be: The pasta station - Spaghetti is just right - al dente and sauce is ok and meaty. Their pork/chicken skewers is great too . The big fish carving is also good.

Batchoy definitely is NOT a batchoy, it tastes more like an oily salabat soup. Definitely not recommended. I was initially pushing my foreigner friends to taste it since we dont have enough time for them to grab batchoy anywhere else, so we tried this instead but it was just sad and bad.

Oh, their chocolate eclaire is dry and no filling. I was expecting the same consistency with the strawberry eclaire at Sea Breeze Hennan resto which is chewy and soft.

The maki station is okay. The vanilla ice cream is okay. Watch their famous dancing chef and servers at 8pm. Other...

Buffet priced at 899 for adults. Half priced or free if a child falls into certain height (photo attached).

It was a good experience. Food is just fairly ok but not great. Theres so much to look forward to when it comes to entertain, a duo singing and their waiters as palm tree or resto inhouse dancers.

A downer I think is that, they dont acknowledge senior citizen card. So, with their 899 rate, not suggested for Senior Citizen folks. And if u r coming with family or friends and u'd want to celebrate their birthday by asking the crew to make a surprise happy birthday greetings, theyd be happy to do it with a fee. Foods are not so variant and ALL, i mean ALL were so cold, no sashimi and sea foods, not worth it

They had live music but songs weren’t our type and wasn’t good also

They said we have to pay 210 peso more for Unli drink including wine and beer We did Then they pour cheap wine and beers in small glasses, beer with ice i just can’t imagine it, they didn’t even have beer glasses

In the end, it was super crowded, u have to w8 so much time to get only small pieces of foods

I ate here twice one time back in 2015 and the problem still is same, go eat somewhere else if you are looking for...
