Stayed here 4 nights. This is an almost impossible to find hotel. If you come straight from the main road, you have to go down a messy path full of mud and puddles where not even tricycles can go through. If you take the route suggested by the hotel, via the paved street for La Carmela Hotel and then the beach-side path, you need to go through a restaurant and hotel (Villa Oro) and then guess your way through a maze of narrow paths to get there. Construction was ongoing next to the hotel and even this route was a bit messy.||- The aircon single-units are way too noisy. We had to switch ours off every night before sleeping. No fans provided in the room.||- Room insulation is poor. We would have our sleep disturbed up to 2am or as early as 6am with the noise of flip flops from staff and other guests going up and down the staircases - maybe ask staff to use less noisy footwear would help.||- Set-breakfast choices are poor, with no fruit at all. Juice is not fresh - Tang powder or similar. Meals are prepared in another location and take a while to be served, often won't happen at the same time even for a family of 4. ||- This is the "ONE ONLY" hotel. Each guest gets one towel only (for shower), one pillow only, one small bottle of water upon arrival only and one drink each breakfast only.||- Safety and security wise, I didn't appreciate the location. Even if close to the beach, it's completely locked between buildings and very narrow paths. Only people or 2 wheeled vehicles can reach the building. I have no idea what would happen in case of a fire or even a "simple" medical emergency.||- Good things worth mentioning: we were allowed to check in much earlier than their announced time. Rooms are quite big and new, with plenty power outlets and more than suitable lighting. It's close enough to the beach, shops and restaurants. Staff are all friendly, exception made to the manager who seemed not customer service oriented and had some...
Ā Ā Ā Read more-Room-||Stayed in the family suite which is big and clean. The beds were comfy and the water pressure for shower is strong which is great after a long day. The AC is cooling, but it is single unit type so you can hear some noise from the compressor. I consider myself as a light sleeper but it did not affect me so it was fine. Since i prefer dining out to try their local dishes, i did not use the kitchen in the suite. I have to compliment that the kitchen is well-equipped. There is also a call bell in the suite and the hotel staff will come right to the doorstep to attend to you, which i find it convenient and special. Overall, it is a modern apartment style which meets the expectation of me & my family. ||||-Location- ||I did some research on Boracay and decided to book this hotel because it is near the beach as well as near station 2. It is easy to get around the island to station 1 and station 3. Prior to my trip, i saw reviews stating that the hotel is surrounded by other buildings so i was worried that i can't find the hotel. Thus, I enquired to the hotel on the directions prior to the trip. I used the given directions and found the hotel in ease. The hotel is linked directly to a road which you can direct the driver to send you to PCTV and alight at the end of the road where you can see the hotel signage. The road is also linked to a walking pavement which is just 100m away from the beach! I love the fact that the hotel is so accessible to the beach. ||||-Service- ||The staff are friendly and even gave me a room tour when check-in. There is no lift but the hotel staff helped us to carry our luggage. The breakfast menu has great variety, i managed to try a few different types of breakfast sets since i was there for 4 days. All tasted good which exceeded my expectations! There is e-bike rental at 200peso per day which is so cheap! It has a passenger seat which is great for me & my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first visit after the reopening of Boracay Island. The original hotel i reserved was overbooked and I was transferred here which was much better quality room. This is a relatively new hotel in the area. Feels like a boutique hotel with only a few apartments. Simple open-concept design, no drawers, no covered wardrobes. They provide bath towels, shampoo & soap, bar fridge, thereās TV, safe and Wifi of good speed (as compared to other hotels iāve stayed in previously). Thereās no work desk in the room, but thereās a dining table with chairs instead. No bathtub but toilet is clean. Their balcony is facing another building, so not much of view at all. Good thing it is just at the beach of Station 2. Breakfasts are served as individual serving from their own kitchen, eat at lobby area. Was staying in a deluxe room for a few days, but my bathroom water heater became faulty and they immediately changed my room to the studio suite. Studio comes with its own kitchen and utensils, looks very clean and well-maintained. I would say the hotel staff try to solve my problems quick enough once i reported the faulty shower. The hotel has decent facilities that many other hotel on this island also have such as window-unit aircon and no elevator. So they have hotel staff to carry the luggage upstairs for you. ||||Room tips: if you need something, it is probably faster to get help by asking directly from the reception. ||||Location tips: Easier to ask the driver to fetch you to Oro De Villa hotel then you walk towards this Mirage Suites. Their entrance is next to each other. Turn into the alley after Hennan lagoon resort, all the way towards the direction of the white beach, hotel is somewhere near to Oro De...
