Last night (March 28, 2019) was my first time to try Frankie's. They are open from 11am-2am from Monday to Thursday and 11am-4am during Fridays and Saturdays. Limited parking spot during daytime. From 9pm onwards, you might be able to park infront of some nearby establishments or maybe park along the street. The place is clean and cozy. Well lighted during the day because of the ceiling to floor windows. And at night, the place is also well lit. Edison bulbs lighting each table is a very good accent. They also have a 2nd floor to accomodate more people. Airconditioning is also good so having lunch here should not make you perspire at all. I can consider this branch of Frankie's to be an IG worthy place if your into that kind of thing. I ordered their BBQ Chicken Burger and fries. It was priced at Php209. The fries were awesome! Fried just right and no other taste other than potato. Seasoned with just the right amount of salt & pepper. The BBQ chicken burger is equally awesome! Burger buns were heated just right. Not too oily and not too dry. The BBQ chicken patty was awesome! The BBQ was just right for my taste pallette. I highly recommend ordering the BBQ chicken burger. I also got to taste their garlic parmesan chicken wings. I was not too happy about it. Chicken wings were not dry but there is just too much of the parmesan taste. Paired with too much oil was not really a good combination for me. Note that they also serve cold beer at Frankie's. I just wasnt able to take note...
Read moreOrdered the pesto pasta, super spicy buffalo boneless wings with blue cheese dressing, and the Osaka toriniku style wings. Pasta was over cooked to almost a mushy texture. Flavor was “ok”, not very strong basil pesto flavor. Super Spicy buffalo sauce would be a “medium buffalo sauce”, with a slightly sweet kick, for most foreigners. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to consider when ordering. The “bleu cheese sauce” is definitely a sauce not a dip. Very watery consistency and not very strong flavor. The Osaka Toriniku wings were smothered in mayo but overall “ok”. It’s hard to call something “New York” style and then change the flavors to local expectations. If it was “Frankie’s Filipino wing spot”, one wouldn’t have the expectation of “Buffalo NY” wings, which generally have a hot vinegar base and are not sweet by any means. But if you are looking for something to eat when drunk and it doesn’t really matter the flavor or texture, prices are ok. This is a spot I would go to only if someone else REALLY wanted to go. I would only order a Red Horse,...
Read moreWe ordered a dozen Lemon Pepper wings and were served Salt and Pepper.
When we notified the staff, they gave back the same wings to us and the Lemon Pepper sauce in a separate dish, asking us to just dip it in because it might be "too salty" if they mixed it. This tasted awful, so I gave it back and told them to mix it anyway. By this point the wings were lukewarm and the sauce didn't really stick.
Then they had the gall to try and sell us a Frankie's card.
If I had ordered Buffalo wings and was given Garlic Parmesan, would they have wiped off the Garlic Parmesan and drenched it in Buffalo sauce instead? Of course not. They should have served us fresh Lemon Pepper wings.
Everything else way okay, but the lack of recognition that our order was messed up and the half hearted attempt to resolve the issue ruined the night for me.
Maybe call your Salt and Pepper wings something else, because this is the second time already that my Lemon Pepper order...
