I need to give a thorough review.
Overall experience, very good. Your restaurant decor is lovely, great location, excellent service. Jakub was fantastic. Give him a raise.
So, I had Khinkali with meat, broth and herbs, and khachapuri adjaruli. These things were good, and it filled a need. Very good. Something missing only for me, but I have a positive review.
There is a restaurant I usually go to in another city, pointless to name, but when I go I was always blown away by the food. As in an ungodly holy wow experience, and this other place you usually have to reserve in advance on weekends and so I was looking for this experience so I found your place very good, but something is missing for me and I can't say what.
Perhaps because its a franchise, I was wondering how you can improve the quality because you do actually have an enormous menu and that makes me a bit suspect that you can really achieve 5 star with such a large menu, but perhaps you are very happy with being very good at this 4.0 star average.
I think this place would be great for tourists, older people, family dinners, it is like a modern American chain almost with very good food at a reasonable price. I would probably never come here in August when all the tourists are here I had the perfect experience in a quiet restaurant. Also beautiful bathroom facilities for older people, spacious and clean.
What was missing: I wanted to blown away, so I am still looking for that "OH MY GOD" khachapuri.
So the broth and herbs in the meat, it somehow wasn't enough herb. But they were good so please don't take this badly, but yes something was missing in the flavour. Perhaps the richness. I can't explain. Keep trying to find it, never give up.
Second, the khachapuri was just very good, but not amazing. Good pizza dough bread but missing something, and I wanted the cheese to be more like that soggy soup you dip the bread in. I asked the waiter if you use authentic Georgian cheese and says you do, and mix it yourself. So that's good, but do you yourself think something is missing in the cheese taste? Is it the milk, is it the butter? What do you find difficult to replicate 100%, especially as a chain? The cheese dried or baked too "hard" / solid so it didn't have that soupy cheese butter farmer's cheese effect, it was closer to an excellent cheese pizza.
Anyway, I would take my parents here, I think you have excellent portions, fantastic prices, beautiful presentation, good enough food that I'd come back for a nice warm cozy place to eat.
(Lol the "place mat menus" ruin beautiful food pics, so that's my only "decor" critique I felt so stupid removing the place mat to send pictures of food haha) I hope you survived the pandemic and business will pick up and you use your success to continually improve your restaurant, even if some ingredients cost more do it! :) Thank you for reading my...
Read moreUnexpectedly, found one of the tastiest yet moderately priced food places in Gdansk. We came on Monday a few days ago, but I still contemplate the tastes and aromas of Georgian cuisine:-) We were a party of 5 and tried various meals in different order, but didn’t mind that. All you need is a few empty plates to be able to share (perhaps, it’s responsibility of the manager/waiter to have them offered). This is how it’s served in Georgia: whatever is ready goes right onto the table throughout the course of the meal! However, waiters shall explain that to clients beforehand, otherwise the number of negative “waiting time and food order” reviews will kill this jewel. It’s worth remembering that people are capable of giving one star for the above shortcuts, commenting that the food was nevertheless very tasty:-(
Found their bread to be the best ever tasted in Poland in general - I had to have eat, although I never eat white bread. The same goes for cheese Khachapuri which is mouth-watering. A salad with walnut paste and cilantro is a must add-on. Khinkali with meat and, again, cilantro, are just abundance of tastes. We actually had smth else and everything was fantastic! More so, the food is convenient to be taken home and reheated if left.
We’ll definitely come back and highly recommend the place to worldly people which understand cultural differences and enjoy being introduced to new tastes and...
Read moreI had been looking for a Georgian restaurant for quit a while but sadly there were none in my home area, while in Gdansk I came across this one and decided to try it out. It ended up being a fantastic experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. Although it was my first time eating Georgian I can barely imagine it getting any better. We ended up trying the khinkali and eggplant phali as a starter and both were delicious, the explanation on how to exactly tackle the khinkali was also greatly appreciated :-) The main course was equally fantastic and all of it was paired with a delicious Georgian red wine. We ended up visiting again the day after to try some stuff on the menu we hadn't gotten around to the first time. Our trip to Gdansk was a wonderfull experience but this restaurant was certainly the cherry on the cake. I can certainly advise it to anyone...
