Ouch! I cam here cause it had the appearance of being and place to find hearty, delicious food at reasonable prices. Judging by the traffic of people that went in and out the place I was surprised it didn't hold to my expectations.
The food itself is tasty, but not all too wonderful. I tried the rice, the mash potatoes, a natural orange juice, a small salad and the chicken breast. All to my dismay for the ridiculous price of 45 zł, to hearing this my incredulous face should have shifted to a funny grimace for it condemned to a quick giggle from the working staff.
The place itself was clean and well-kept. I liked it.
One other great thing about this place is the many food options you get to choose from which can please everyone in the family. Something valuable for people with children.
Superb location close to all the main attraction in the city while being far enough from all the fuzz of the crowd to be able to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
I don't know if they keep some secret hidden prices for non-foreings but I was upset about that price for the rest of my day, and it kept me wondering over and over if the cashier hadn't make a mistake of adding someone else's meal...
Read moreExpensive, unfriendly and bad taste food. Completely disappointed. First of all, I'll start by the finish. The ticket. We felt scammed. Just a portion of meat, potatoes (that's for me) , a bit of salad and a soup for my wife. As we are from Spain we didn't understand the ticket, but after using Google translator we checked the ticket and it was completely different of what we asked and received, adding food that we never received. By the way, the prices were about a regular portion and I just asked small parts of each, but anyway, we paid something extra that we didn't ask or receive. That's just about the ticket. Plus, the food taste was awful, completely dry and my wife even didn't finish the soup, it was extremely strong as an hyper concentrated taste from a supermarket soup, not natural at all. 121 zloti (more than 27 euro) for all this ugly experience... My wife wanted to complain but I preferred leave it like that and never visit this place anymore. By the way, thanks for the ugly faces at the...
Read moreThis place is a Gdańsk staple. Very affordable for a large variety of well-prepared traditional Polish dishes. It’s a buffet-style restaurant that is very professionally done. All the food was freshly prepared at all hours of the day. The menus rotated from day to day.
They have an “all you can fit on your plate” breakfast buffet with more than the standard European fare for 12PLN. My wife, small kids, and I ate breakfast off two plates.
We had dinner as well. Seven of us ate for about 120PLN and the variety was equally good.
Long to short: If you are looking to try a little of everything with both quality and budget in mind, look no further than...
