Was recommended this place by some people so thought would give it a shot. When we arrived we were herded into cramped tables which could not fit the number of people that there were chairs around. The man who came to take our order did not give us a choice in drink and just assumed we wanted basic lager to drink rather than letting us decide for ourselves. When our food was brought out the waiter spilt a plate of food over my leg and did not apologise or offer up any napkins to help clean up the mess. 5 out of the 6 plates arrived and after 10 minutes and one of the members of the party having to go and speak to a waiter the owner came and had a go at him saying he should have just gone to McDonald's if he wanted fast food and then he stormed off. One of the dishes was a chicken based meal and the chicken was clearly soft and still bright pink in the middle. The owner came and bluntly said what was wrong with that and the person whose dish it was stated politely it was a bit pink and so didn't want to risk it. Without even looking at it the owner raised his voice and said No! That is not possible it is cooked. He then walked off, then came back immediately and tried to say it was what the chicken was cooked with but was getting slightly more aggressive with the tone of his voice. My dish was also not up to standard as there were roast potatoes which were clearly not fully cooked as the middle had a slight crunch. We had to ask for the bill as the waiter came in and stared at our empty plates and was about to turn away and walk off. I would not recommend this place and would have much rather gone to McDonald's like the owner suggested. Worst meal I have had in Poland and it is up there for any meal due to poor service and sub par food....
Read moreme and my friends have come to poland on holiday and was recommended a pub called the dog in the fog so we proceeded, on arrival we were mocked by the waiters as we were struggling to find a table that could accommodate a party of 6 after we squeezed into 2 separate tables, when the owner of the so called “pub” came to take our drink orders he asked me bluntly where i was from, thinking he was engaging in polite conversation, therefore i answered England, he then rolled his eyes and walked away to get someone else’s order then came back an didn’t give us a choice of drinks, he assumed we wanted 6 largers, my friend doesn’t drink alcohol so he ordered a coffee when my friend asked for a coffee the owner laughed at my friends request. he then went to get our drinks mocking our accents to his young waiting staff, 15 minutes later we got our beers (and coffee) to which they were 2/3 beer, 1/3 head. we ordered our food. 25 minutes later the food came out all together other than my friend who is from a different ethnicity (caribbean) didn’t receive his food for 13 minutes he then went to ask where his food was to which the owner who barked that if he wanted fast food he should have gone to mcdonald’s, he then got his food 18 minutes after ours. i didn’t eat my food as it wasn’t cooked sufficiently enough, i went to the toilet however had to leave as there was a cockroach (from what i assume) on the right hand side of the sink, i left in disgust and then politely ordered the bill as our well beings (i personally felt) we’re in danger. we left and recommended no english tourists to go also i would highly recommend that if you are from a alternative culture or different ethnicity do not enter the premises as the owner unfortunately does not...
Read moreSecond time I came here while in Krakow but I guess it’ll be the last. The food is really good and at good price, same with the beer. The place is also a pub and it has a single toilet both for males and for females. The problem is with the staff; it is really unfriendly and it appears that ours was just not an isolated case. It’s enough to scroll in here but also when I went here last year with two friends the bald guy -probably the owner- asked a lot of personal questions, and I could have guessed already the treatment given to clients and avoided having brought new people to the place. This time we were welcomed by rolling eyes from the waiters, jeering smiles shared by the male younger waiter and the fat bald owner, and rude answers from the blonde female waitress just for asking to have 1 more minute to understand what the menu had in store (especially when they obliged us to order only “simple” things to make the chef’s job easier). Most of our table was composed by Italians and our girl friend went to pay and were welcomed by “Vaffanculo Tac Vaffanculo Tac”. Bad humor? Nasty behavior? It doesn’t matter, complete lack of unprofessionalism. We really felt we were not welcomed. But fanculo a loro, perché noi ci siamo divertiti comunque anche se...
