Stayed here for our Christmas getaway this year - I’ll put some positives and even better if’s below:
Positives: Staff - they are amazing. Honestly never felt more welcome in a hotel, cared for and looked after. These guys are there around the clock to make you feel welcome and at home for the duration of your stay. Location - a mere 5 minutes walk from the town centre, 10 minutes from the main station but out of all the hustle and bustle, this hotel is situated in an incredible place for a trip to Krakow. Shower - I know it seems silly to highlight, but having these huge showers with powerful streams made all the difference to our trip. Cleanliness - our room was incredibly clean, and that extends to the whole hotel. Beds - they are so comfy! And the pillows too. Effective curtains - kept the light out, and ensured room was dark enough when the sun arose the next morning.
Even Better If’s: we stayed in room 003 which was on the ground floor, next to the entrance and also just off of reception. I’m a fairly light sleeper, and all the alarms in reception, the bangs outside etc made for some difficult nights sleeping. Obviously this is likely just the room location, but definitely keep this in mind. I needed earplugs
room size was something we struggled with as it was very small, and after two suitcases in the room, it was somewhat uncomfortable navigating the space.
room temperature control; now I’m not sure if this is just me being naive and not seeing the obvious, but there was an aircon unit in the room, without any remote or thermostat, meaning you cannot control the room temperature. I was never cold in the room, but getting out of the shower was a bit chilly and I wish we had the ability to heat the room to our desired temperature.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend going here for your stay, the staff really make the trip and location...
Read moreLocation is excellent. Rooms are clean and fine. Size is reasonable especially for the price and central location. Bathroom was also fine. The issue we had was with the false advertising when making the booking regarding parking on bookings.com. Once we filtered for hotels in the centre with parking we chose this one. Upon placing the booking we received an email informing us they do not, in fact, have parking but an arrangement with a nearby car park for an additional fee but no reserved spaces. For the additional price per night we would have chosen a better hotel with the private parking but by then it was too late. The even more frustrating part was the service provided by the check in staff upon arrival who proceeded to try prove us wrong regaring the information we found about parking. Apparently it it very clearly displayed on their website and deep, deep down in the additional hotel information on bookings.com. They then provide very poor directions on how to get to the parking, but offered us breakfast... For an additional fee... And the sauna.... For an additional fee. The other issues people have regarding the beds and matressed are also valid, double beds are simple 2 singles pushed together.
To summarise, it's fine for a place to sleep in the city centre. But the service we received wasn't what I would expect, the bed wasn't as nice as I'd expect, and the parking also isn't what I expected or booked for. It all looks very trendy and smart inside but its the substance was lacking for our stay. I personally won't be staying again, but if you're not on a budget, don't have your own car, don't mind not getting a double bed but 2 singles pushed together, and don't mind paying extra for everything apart from frustrated, then it...
Read moreI ended up booking here due to a cancellation at a nearby hotel, while I was frustrated with my cancellation elsewhere, I was not upset about ended up in staying here.
It's a lovely little setup, the room was huge, with a kitchenette, in room instant espresso machine, clean facilities, and a very friendly staff. I was in room 101, and it was fantastic, I had a balcony that overlooked a small patio and garden, and windows that actually opened, I slept most nights with the AC off and the windows allowing fresh air to blow through the living and bed room. It was absolutely delightful, hard to believe it was cheaper than the bigger name offering (where my cancellation occurred) not too far away.
I have nothing negative to say, and only minor feedback. The gym was spacious, but sadly outside of some yoga mats, a bodyweight rack and TRX straps, and a piece of cardio equipment, it didn't offer much for free weight options... even a decent dumb bell tree would have been a great addition and fixed this. The other bit is the shower setup, the room I was in had a tub, and they'd retrofit a shower into it, but they used a glass divider that couldn't be moved, and most mornings due to splashing I would soak the entire bathroom floor and have to use towels to sop it all up. If and extra piece of sliding glass was added that could be closed, this would solve this problem as well.
All in all, it was a fantastic place, wonderful room, right off the park, walking distance to a ton of great food, shopping, and sight seeing options, and I loved it overall.
If/When I'm back in Krakow, this will be my go...
