I am really disappointed about the service. I came some time ago pretty often and a friend even rent the hole thing for his birthday and we left a lot of money there many friends I know go there. To the story yesterday. I’m not that often in Warschau and I wanted to have a drink, so in my head came this bar. Nice people my friend knows the staff nice Musik and so on. I had a place in my head upstairs in the corner, it’s really cozy. So I ran down the stairs went in the bar and wanted to take a look where I always sit when I come to this bar. While I wanted to go up, the bar man ask what I am looking for. No hallo no nothing. I said hello I wanted to look if there is space upstairs. They said I cannot just come inside and look, I have to wait at the stairs, there would be a sign and pointed me with her finger to go up the entry again. So she take me back to the stairs (empty club maybe 3 tables sitting in the hole thing) so Harassment obviously. She could just say, usually you have to stay there but we will find you a table now. So she send me back to the stairs in an empty club showing me that there was a Stand ( completely in black (the club is super dark at the stairs). The card pinned on with no picture, no warning color everything printed in black, you have to stand there and wait for a table was written I guess. , I don’t read polish so even if I would have looked on it I would not know what’s this about. That she say something like shame on me that I go in the club not standing at this sign, I said oh Im sorry I didn’t see it and even if I would see it it’s a QR code and smth in polish I can’t read, so I would probably think it’s a advertisement. Than she just say like “ yeah yeah of course of course you didn’t see it “. So she wanted to tell me I was lieing to her and making up story’s . Really !? A service which want to tell you that you try to lie and trick her what a bad feeling, after you apologize to her, combined with no hello and pointing me to the stairs like a small child in the school… really ? The club is dark you don’t see nothing on the stairs. Than she said it’s also in English but guys A4 dark room much smaller than the polish , more looks like a disclaimer . I really hope the staff will change this when they really want people to stand there, regarding to her reaction I’m not the first one. So she really unfriendly, I apologize, she laughed at me and try to tell me I lie , I asked for a table . Of cours she didn’t want to give me the table where I always sit. She gave me in a empty club the option to sit at the stairs. That was too much for me so I left the club and went to a other bar. I’m really upset , I left so much money in this bar and even when not , it’s not the way you behave to guests. Especially if it’s Marked here with $$$. I will not come back if I’ll get no apology for this big misbehavior. And I am really sorry I have to give one star only because of 2 people because usually it’s a nice place, like I said I came...
Read moreThis bar has great potential but something has to be changed about the way it's managed.
We bought tickets for the nye2018 party. The tables were over booked, even though we prepaid for a table for 4. They tried to sit another couple at our table even though in our email correspondence it clearly stated it will be max 4 people... yet they tried to still squeeze in 6. Our table for 4 had a sofa for 2 people and 2 lousy stools for the other couple.
I thought this was an upscale venue not a market square where you gotta squeeze every inch of space.
Throughout the entire night we had to fight off the crowd from stealing our seats and table. Why was there no security? Why did I pay extra for a table, when others who paid for a standing ticket paid less and kept stealing our seats? We havent received any apologies from the management, nothing.
-Completely understaffed, waiters were running around like crazy, we had to order a few drinks at a time in order to be able to have something at our table.
-The dj had absolutely no idea about music.
There was no countdown till midnight, some people didn't even know. The music just turned off, there were no balloons no excitement from the staff. We were all so disappointed with the way this venue ran the night.
I am giving the 3 stars for the beautiful venue and for the potential that it can have. Hopefully someone will read this and take a step in the...
Read moreWhen you first arrive, it might seem a bit inconspicuous - tucked away in an alley with no visible sign. Plus, you have to venture down to the basement, where the dim lighting adds to the mysterious vibe. But once you're inside, you're in for a treat. The place was bustling when I visited, and the decor was unique - it's got this medieval charm with a classy touch, complete with a chandelier and even a piano.
As you descend the stairs, you'll notice a neat little setup where you can leave your jacket for free, almost like a mini-theatre window. The seating arrangements vary, from comfy sofas to high tables and stools, though the latter can get a bit uncomfortable if you're there for a while. I had the pleasure of visiting twice - the first time, there was live music, and on my second visit, a pianist entertained us on a Sunday evening, which was a lovely surprise.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, although they did forget our order during our first visit. They made up for it by offering us a double shot, which was a nice gesture. Overall, Weles Bar is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a unique and...
