Restaurante O Cavaleiro — Restaurant in Lagos

I ate here at 10pm on Tuesday 24th August, ordering a vegetarian lasagne, tomato side salad and red wine. I started to feel a bit iffy during the meal. Three hours later I started vomiting and had 10 hours of alternate vomiting and diarrhea every 15mins. I was then extremely fatigued for another 19 hours and could barely move out of bed. I am still not completely back to normal now.

While I cannot be 100% certain it was caused by eating here, it seems a similar pattern to a less severe incident of food poisoning I previously have had.

My boyfriend called the restaurant the next day and they initially seemed baffled as to why we were calling and then somewhat sympathetic, but they did not state they would check anything with their food processes, which I would do if someone may have caught a bug at my restaurant. I can only wonder if it was linked to the bechamel sauce and any reheating or some other hand hygiene issue.

Whatever it is ruined 2 days of our holiday completely and left me unable to enjoy food for longer and quite weak.

My boyfriend had a veggie pizza and it was very bland.

DON'T GO FOR THE PIZZA

I have one good word to describe pizza's flavor "paper".

If this is "truly Italian pizza" I don't want to eat pizza in Italy.

Fast forward 2 years there's no restaurant available so let's give it a second chance...

It has not improved if anything it's decaying not only food but also the facilities. The pizza is not artisanal and I have since been to Italy and I can guarantee that this is not "Authentic Italian Pizza". The atmosphere is also awful I was sit next to these glass that leads to the bathroom which means that the light was constantly going on and off every time someone washed...

I thought this restaurant was decent. Me and a friend visited Lagos for the day, and decided to eat here for brunch.

I ordered myself a simple fillet steak, which came with chips and salad. I thought the steak was very tasty, considering it was one of the cheapest options, leading me to believe it was going to be a mediocre meal.

I would recommend this place if you want to try out a decent restaurant while you're out in Lagos, I just wouldn't come here regularly as staff seemed a little unfriendly, uncoordinated,...
