Basílio — Restaurant in Lisbon

Kind of a tourists trap. We didn't have a good experience as the service has been so random that took about 2hrs to finish our simple brunch. I get that the place was very crowded and only 2 waiters serving the tables but some things are simply not acceptable: My partner ordered the bruch option that includes orange juice, scruble eggs, pancakes and cappuccino apart. Well after 40 mins the waiter came and gave him a small glass of orange juice by itself... After that other 30 min to get a plate with scruble eggs, after that we had to remind the waiter about the pancakes... After 20 mins the pancakes arrived. In the meantime i got my burger, without my drink that i had to remind 2 times to the staff. The drink arrived 20 minutes after i finished my plate. Oh, The cappucino came after we asked the bill. The food is ok the staff is friendly but doesn't help...

This morning my friend and I went for a smoothie and coffee. When we sat down we ordered a drink while looking at the food menu and deciding once the drinks came. They never came back to take our food order. The americano tasted burnt and watered down and they were not willing to redo it or reimburse me for it. The chocolate peanut butter smoothie was more like a juice with ice in it and did not have the collagen or peanut butter in it that was paid for at an extra cost. Nobody who worked there was helpful and did not check in on us once about the food until handing us the bill and refusing to take anything off because we did not complain earlier (we could not get anyone’s attention.) do not recommend, especially considering my friend is gluten free and they could not confirm what was safe for...

Nice atmosphere but not a safe place to go during covid times. Social distancing rules were completely ignored and you are sat right on top of other people, even if the place isn't very full, as it happened to us. When we asked to move to another (further away, table, with the same number of seats - so no difference for them), the staff member was really rude. Eventually we moved, but then the staff member immediately proceeded to place a couple right next to us (50cm) when there were at least 2 more tables with 2 seats (at a safe distance) from us...we found that really immature. The food is acceptable. The pancakes do not come with enough sauce, so they become really dry. The juice is too waterly and the toast was cold. Good atmosphere but not exactly a place I...
