Toxic and disappointing service experience with the main hostess
When my wife and I sat at an empty table on the lower floor, I was abruptly removed by the hostess. Even after explaining my physical limitation to climb stairs and that I was carrying heavy bags, I was forced to go upstairs, already with the impression that the place prioritizes unnecessary rigid rules over customer well-being. What’s the point of humiliating a disabled customer? What’s so hard about listening to the customer and relocating them later if needed? It was Monday night, not busy day.
The Brazilian waiter who served me afterward was extremely kind, but soon after, the same Portuguese hostess came upstairs and forced him to separate two tables, leaving us cramped, with the restaurant practically empty! Why being so agressive? Why not preserve the client comfort? It seemed more important to keep tables empty than to win over new customers who wanted to get to know the place.
The peak of absurdity was seeing other couples being seated downstairs. When I questioned her, I was met with arrogance and irony. The hostess even insisted on writing down her full name in case of a complaint, Belisa Sequeira, shouting in front of other customers that no complaint would ever harm her long career. WOW.
It’s surreal that someone with such behavior represents a hospitality business. The Brew brand does not deserve to be represented by this kind of toxic and authoritarian attitude, which harms both customers and the team itself. If the establishment issues a formal apology, I might reconsider to visit it again. More maturity is expected for a...
Read moreAverage in every way. They have a range of beers on tap plus cans ranging up to about 20EU. Utterly ridiculous prices. I've lived all over the world and the only place you'd find beer at this price is an airport or country with alcohol prohibitions.
For a 5 beer tasting paddle (15cl each), it cost about 20EU, for the cheapest beer on tap. Obviously it can cost more depending on what you chose. But the range is not the problem, the quality of service, storage and price is. The beer on tap was tepid, and not cold, which ruined the taste. Also it took about 15 minutes to have 5 15cl beers pulled, even though there was barely anyone there. The pizza (pepperoni and chilli con carne) was also very average and cost almost 8EU for a big slice. This place is just another engineered for tourists, not for repeat customers. Skip and head to any local Portuguese...
Read moreBeer was nice and a lot of selection but really overpriced. Staff very friendly at first, decided to order a slice of pizza, waited 30 mins and no pizza. Asked the waitress who said she will check. Came back and said it will be 5 mins. I asked her if she had put the order through as it seems like she had forgotten she said she did put it through before. Then another waiter came over and said it would be 10-15 mins, something to do with because I ordered a pizza with mushrooms! I said to him we just want to leave so cancel it he said its not a problem so they obviously did forget to put it through. I paid for the extortionate drinks and said why didn't they just tell the truth and he didn't say anything to me. We ended up going to the crafty corner just a few minutes walk down the road the beer was better priced, staff lovely and...
