If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The service here is so terrible, I’m literally writing this review as I’m still seated at the table because I am that angry. First, our waiter was incredibly rude and wouldn’t even listen - just rushed through. We had a party of 26, which I understand can be hectic but even with that in mind, the customer service here is beyond poor. We had multiple errors with our order - missing naans, extra rice, wrong tikka orders. When we would tell someone on staff that was bringing out the food about the errors, they gave us attitude and said “we are just bringing you what is written on the order.” When they brought out the extra rice, I told one lady we did not order it and she just placed it on the table and walked away - I told her once again when she returned and she did the same thing. So now, I’m basically being forced to pay for food I didn’t even order - what a waste. When we requested the missing naan - the waiter tried to convince me I had only ordered two when I had ordered three - when he was the one that had convinced me to order a third naan for my parents! After the multiple errors, I asked the lady on staff to talk to the first guy who originally took the order to figure out why there were so many mistakes and he never came back. They completely ignored us and did NOTHING to rectify their mistakes. On top of that, they didn’t even give us spoons or any utensils to eat with - we waited and waited and finally the lady brought us some after multiple requests.

The food here is mediocre at best. We ordered multiple dishes and each one was just okay. The customer service here is so, so terrible - honestly, find a different place to eat. The food is not worth the hassle with their...

Gandhi Palace – A True Taste of India

If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine that delivers both bold flavor and tradition, Gandhi Palace is a must-visit. From the moment the dishes arrive, it's clear that this place takes pride in its culinary roots.

The spices are nothing short of exceptional—perfectly balanced, deeply aromatic, and layered with complexity. Each bite carries that unmistakable warmth of Indian cooking, where the flavors are not just spicy but thoughtfully composed. The food is rich with authenticity, reminiscent of a home-cooked meal from the heart of India.

Whether it was the creamy butter chicken, the smoky tandoori, or the fragrant biryani, everything tasted handcrafted and true to its origins. The spice level was just right—not overpowering, but enough to wake up your palate and keep you coming back for more.

In short, Gandhi Palace doesn’t just serve Indian food—it celebrates it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine and...

It’s not a true gem. Great option for anyone looking for alternatives for to touristy food.

Think higher quality Indian food without the modern frills. Huge menu with westernize options and options for natives.

Samosa has a thinner crispier wrap than most restaurants, but it works! Less of a mushy mess. Only problem is it comes just one piece per order.

Garlic prawn was fresh and saucy. Better than Cervejaria Ramiro, though CR doesn’t use any tomato, just garlic butter.

Rice was fresh and tasty,

Nan was good, not great, little drier than I prefer. Needs a bit more garlic, but I prefer more garlic than most people so it should be fine for most palates.

Butter chicken was creamy and tasty, as good as any I’ve tried anywhere else.

Service just average, not unfreindly, but they left us alone for the entire meal. less attention than American restaurants but more on par with Europe.

Will...

This place prepares, by far, the most authentic North Indian Cuisines, prepared outside of 🇮🇳 I found the food overwhelmingly good - we tried north Indian dishes couple of Daal, Paneer, Roti, Naans etc. To my surprise, the food was not Europeanized (i.e. not made sweet), as it is common practice in a lot of other Indian restaurant in Europe. The staff is super friendly and made the exact customizations that we refer to photos to the team. We have mistakenly preconceived the restaurant to be really “average” from the overall looks and ambience of the restaurant, but it all went away when the food arrived to our table. 👏 👍

Me and my family had a meal here for our last evening in Albufeira and it was honestly one of the best Indian meals we have ever had!! We are quite connoisseurs when it comes to Indian food, we wished we could have taken it home! The samosas were crisped, the onion bajis were delicious, all of our curries were filled with meat and the sauces were seasoned perfectly! The restaurant itself was also gorgeously decorated and cosy! The prices were super affordable which surprised us considering how delicious it all was and the menu had loads of choice. We wish we could have brought this restaurant home!😁

The most disgusting butter chicken I ever had. The inside of my chicken was black. (not purple veins but BLACK) Apparently when the chicken dies from a disease, they sell those chickens for very cheap they are rotten inside. I would never eat here again. Very overpriced for Lisbon and the dishes don't come with a side of rice. Very bad service. I asked for a bottle of water many times and did not receive it. My food arrived 15 minutes after everyone elses. My friend had a bad experience with the attitude of the waitress.
