The BEST Indian restaurant experience till date!

I had the pleasure of dining at Tikka Chowk in Lisboa, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hospitality was unparalleled, and the level of attention we received was something I have never seen before.

Our server, Shahid, was incredibly nice and thoughtful. He noticed that my daughter was struggling with even a sweet curry (butter chicken) and promptly brought us a bowl of plain yoghurt to help her enjoy her meal. This small gesture made a huge difference and showed the level of care and attention to detail that Shahid and the entire staff provide.

During our meal, I had to step out and ended up staying out longer than planned. By the time I returned, the food had been served to my family and wasn't as hot as for me. Shahid noticed this and took all the main course back, added base sauce, changed the plate, and reheated the food. This level of service is truly remarkable and greatly appreciated.

Additionally, it was a very windy day, and my daughter was feeling cold despite sitting indoors. Shahid provided us with a heater to ensure she was comfortable. To top it all off, he offered us a complimentary dessert (rice kheer), which was absolutely delicious. The masala chai (Indian milk tea) was also exceptional in taste.

Absolutely outstanding experience from the time we entered this beautiful jewel box of a restaurant to the last bite of our complimentary carrot dessert mango drink.

Akshay, our server provided a truly delightful dinner as he explained each course, even kindly offering to ask the chef to create the dish pictured. The shrimp tikka the best I've ever eaten with flavors that hit every note!

He even shared an amazing carrot dessert and mango drink that were so filling we couldn't even consume it all.

The price and value are unbeatable and so, cannot recommend highly enough. This spot will be hard to get a reservation as word gets out how truly delectable the dishes are and at such a value.

**Updated Review: Since my initial review, I have been back to this restaurant at least 5 times with family and friends, and it continues to excel in food quality, quantity, just overall excellence. The chicken was the freshest yet, and the prawn tikka so delectable.

Anamika was our server, incredibly attentive, and made us feel like we were weekly regulars with her friendly demeanor.

This is truly one of the BEST restaurants you will find in Lisboa - Indian or not - and for under $45 for two people with plenty of food that is heavenly, you must make this a spot to try while in town.

My first day and first trip to Portugal and this is the first restaurant I came across and tried. Tremendous in all regards from the food, service to atmosphere. I had a new years eve special 5 course menu and each item was perfection. The chicken was so tender, flavorful and juicy! It exceeded my expectations. Anamika, who works at the restaurant was so sweet and helpful in explaining each dish to me and making sure I enjoyed it. I hope to return again prior to leaving Portugal! Update 1/4/2025 I needed to edit my review with an update to share that after a week in Lisbon, Tikka Chowk has been by far the absolute BEST restaurant experience I've encountered during my 1st time in Portugal in all aspects. I found the food quality and taste so vastly superior to all of the other restaurants I went to that I needed to return a second time prior to the end of my trip.
