We ordered two fish dishes. The one with lemon was quite nice - fresh and flavorful. The other was a dried fish, and while it’s not my first time trying that kind of dish, this one wasn’t very pleasant. The flavor was lacking, the texture wasn’t great, and overall it just didn’t come together well. I don’t think it’s necessarily the restaurant’s fault - this type of fish can vary - but I personally wouldn’t recommend it. the dried fish was getting stuck in my teeth a lot, which made it even less enjoyable.
The vegetables served with the dishes were quite bland and overboiled, which was disappointing. I wasn’t expecting a 5-star experience, but I did hope for something a bit better.
The place itself has a very old-fashioned, “local” feel, though it’s clear that it attracts a lot of tourists.
Be aware that they might offer extras (like bread, cheese, olives, etc.) without clearly saying they cost extra. They’re not free, so if you don’t want them, just politely decline when they offer - that way, they won’t be added to your bill.
The overall experience was just okay. I honestly wouldn’t go back - it wasn’t particularly delicious or memorable. However, the price was reasonable, especially considering it’s in the city center and the portions were enough for a full meal.
That said, it’s a decent option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly, more of a home-style meal. Just know what to expect. The staff were friendly, and while the toilets weren’t particularly pleasant to use but they...

A small cured cheese… I love this type of cheese but this one tasted sweaty & vinegary. The service wasn’t good, the waitress got angry and asked us if that was all we were having. I told her we would eat & see if we were still hungry. I asked for natural water (room temp) & she brought fresh water (cold). Despite my friend being Portuguese& me speaking fluent Portuguese, they brought us an English menu & charged us the tourist prices. When my friend questioned & gestured the prices on the board, she said “those are takeaway...

We went to this place two times. First time, we just took a few pastel de nata to go. Later we came back to the area and we decided to have a few more pastel de nata while sitting at the table.
Overall, the pastels were good, but not so good as you can find at other place. Moreover the restroom wasn't very clean compared to other places, and we also saw the person who served bakery and cakes that he threw the garbage from the dust bin with his bare hands and he didn't wash his hands afterwards. This isn't something that you would expect to see in a...
