Madame Bacchus — Restaurant in Lisbon

It was a kick for my soul and all my senses loved it! I travelled alone to Lisbon and was so lucky to literally run into this place that made me feel as if I was not alone at all anymore. I loved it! Its owner Amandine made me feel so welcome that I couldn´t resist coming by almost every day during my visit. Not only did I enjoy her delicious food and learned about different wines but she makes sure everyone feel cared for and genuinely wants you to be happy and enjoy it all. In the evenings if you´re lucky they sometimes even have amazing gigs with local musicians. I will definitely return to tMadame Bacchus when I come back to Lisbon next time. I miss it already! I might even buy a flight ticket soon just for being back in that lovely...

OK, so I gave it 5 stars across the board. I will have to add that we (gf and myself) only ordered 1 dish to share, which was the baked camenbert and honey, and it's a quiet night.... That being said, this is a lovely intimate place. The service was 1st rate, the food was lovely, the chap serving us was great and helped us select a wine from the list, and gave us a taste before buying.

Not far off the tourist circuit, but it feels like the real deal. I'm thoroughly impressed, and that doesn't happen very often.

I recently discovered this great restaurant that I really enjoyed. The owner was super friendly, down to earth, and made us feel welcome right away. The place has a beautiful and cozy atmosphere inside, with outdoor seating as well, though we chose to sit indoors since it was a bit chilly. We ordered the cheeseburger and chorizo, and for starters, we had the cheese and charcuterie board. Everything was delicious, and the wine was paired perfectly with the meal. If I had to offer some constructive feedback, I’d suggest serving real French fries with the burger instead of the bagged chips. Also, the music inside was a bit loud for my liking.
