McDonalds should be embarrassed to have this location carry their name. I honestly don't know why I keep coming back here. Well, actually it's because I live nearby and when I'm hungover, sometimes I need a fix.
Expect to wait up to 20 minutes to get your food. If your card doesn't work in the self-service machines (which it probably won't) then expect to wait another 10 minutes for the privilege of paying at the counter, while every staff member does their damnedest to avoid making eye contact with you.
And that brings us to the food. For the love of god, check that everything you ordered is on your tray when you pick it up. This will save you a trip back downstairs when you realise the staff have forgotten something from your order, which they probably will. Just today I made an order that included two double cheeseburgers. When I checked the order at the counter they had forgotten one of the burgers. Great! After finally getting somebody's attention I pointed out their mistake and they put another burger on the tray. Imagine my delight when I got upstairs to find that both burgers were regular cheeseburgers and not double cheeseburgers. Next time I suppose I'll literally have to unwrap the burgers at the counter to make sure everything is in order. If you want to have a good laugh then visit...
Read morePRECONCEITO, RACISMO e XENOFOBIA ! Fica aqui o MEU MAIS PROFUNDO REPUDIO A POSTURA RACISTA E XENÓFOBA COM QUE FUI TRATADO NO McDonald's do Chiado, em Lisboa !

RACISM and XENOPHOBIA Yesterday ( 11/21/2017 ) around about 7 p.m. i went to to the McDonald's store located at the Chiado neighborhood in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. I got my order done on one of the digital points and headed to the register to pay the bill. As soon as i started to speak Portuguese language from Brazil the manager started to treat me in a very rude and disrespectful way, as if i was a criminal and he was some sort of "superior entity" that was there judging me. That was a terrible experience and after paying my bill i just decided to live that place and also left my order behind.. and my money of course. I work as a TV ad producer and because of my job i have to travel a lot around the planet and I must emphasize that i've never been treated with RACISM and XENOPHOBIA in any McDonald's store all over the world, That was my first experience and i really hope it was the last one. Read moreA few of my fellow travellers and I frequented the establishment several times throughout our 10 day stay in the vicinity. Being keen McDonald's fans and advocates at home in Ireland, the standard was going to have to be impeccable to beat our previous experiences.
Boy were we blown away. Taste was matched along with the service at home. We loved the ambience and mood of this eatery. Waiting 25 minutes for commonly bought eurosaver items was an intelligent ploy to keep our spirits aloft in the chic atmosphere.
Our visits were kept fresh and new by leaving out parts of our orders on every occasion. A sauce missing here, coffee forgotten there, such hilarity and fun!
We as a group wholeheartedly endorse this establishment and all the devoted and diligent staff...
