I went a few times to dine in Nogueira’s Porto and I always liked everything about it. Until this last time… I’m really sorry to say this but we where really disappointed in the restaurant. The food was cold and all foods came in cold plates, this is very basic etiquette specially if you make us pay for the glasses we drank wine int them in and the cutlery … The meat (mix grill 2p) was cold we told you about this and you reacted very friendly and directly tried to solve it by taking the plate away and bringing us a new one with warm meat. We don’t mind paying more for an experience, that’s why we come to you. But unfortunately the experience was really bad the last time… You made us pay for every little thing and gave us, cold food, cold plates, forgot the extras we asked for, the dishes looked very ugly in the plate and where very salty. I’m sorry for this bad review and you can delete it because I just want you to know so you can improve this mistakes made during 2nd Christmas Day service… I don’t want you to lose customers because you are one of the only ones in Porto who try to create the whole dining experience so please be attentive to the details because they are the reason why I don’t mind to pay more for food that actually is much cheaper somewhere else and compared with last experience even better tasting. Unfortunately we won’t come back as soon as we use too but ones we forgot about this disappointment we will come back and give you guys a second chance, because before we would like to dine in your restaurant. Also a small little tip, don’t let your personal chew gum while receiving people, it’s quiet nasty to be honest… to end it with a positive note the restaurant looks very very very beautiful and the people are very friendly and listen to you if you have something to say, so thank...

I came here to celebrate my wedding anniversary. We were greeted nicely and showed to our table. We accepted the couvert, which was by the way delicious. I ordered a scotch and a glass of really nice red wine. My wife ordered an alcohol free cocktail. Since we’re enjoying the couvert, we skipped starters and ordered the mixed grill. To my surprise, the mix grill arrived while I was I having the couvert and before my scotch and red wine. How is that possible? I didn’t send it back and by the time I started eating the grills, they were close to cold. Such a shame, the meats were from really good quality. When finished, I asked for some time before ordering dessert. A minute later, a different waiter came and asked if we were ready. I asked again for some more time. Unbelievably, less than 2 minutes later the same person came and asked if we were ready. By this was annoyed and asked for the bill. I can’t believe this experience. FYI, the restaurant was less than half full. Nogueira’s get your act together and be more professional. This kind of service is simply unacceptable for...
Read moreI write this as my wife and I are still recovering from the food poisoning your establishment gave us…
First thing, I will say both the atmosphere and the staff were excellent.
The quality of the food? That’s another story.
Firstly, every plate from the appetizer to the entree came out almost sizzling hot. And by plate I mean the physical plate, not the food! It was brought to my attention by my wife that they had plates of food sitting under heat lamps by the serving area of the kitchen. Not good. Especially when you consider that the food was room temperature at best, on a sizzling hot plate.
This leads me to believe most of the entrees (of steak at least) are prepared beforehand and then heated up upon order. If this is the case, you have made a critical error and from an establishment that can serve a tomahawk steak for €80 you need to do better.
In addition to all of this, the quality of the steak was mediocre at best, I’ve had more appetizing chewing gum.
We will not return. Thanks for making me throw up on the...
