Aiya. There is now a live band singing when I visited. Free, of course. But the noise level made conversations hardly audible. It is about 7pm a peak period.
Singing mostly Mandarin and hokkien songs loudly may bother the HDB flat residents and diners.
Also, I'm not sure if it is a bane for the stall holders trying to take orders? Also, the Muslim stall may have to deal with the largely Chinese uncle crowd.
There are a number of foodcourts nearby posing competition. KSL seems to upping the ante with this move.
KSL deserve their success as the premier food court in Singapore with the right mix of food stalls with reasonable pricing.
But this CLEVER move may actually backfire if any public entertainment laws or social visit passes...
   Read moreDrove past this area at 7am, and the coffee shop renovation is finally completed, today was their first day in operation, the good ol drink serving auntie is still around, good to see a familiar face, thus far in the morning, only 1 econo bee hoon shop is in operation, and the roast duck stall is busy prepping to open.
Tea is still on the sweeter side of things, their half boiled egg is not as good as last time, but hope that given them some time, the standard will improve, hope more stall will be opening in that coffee shop soon, as the nearby coffee shops drink pricing is exorbitant, much prefer this coffee shops pricing in drinks and cooling and airy atmosphere.

Had the minced meat noodle (bcm?), tasty but not too over seasoned. Good portion.
Other stalls looks new from previous stalls before renovation. Corner cai peng food looks fresh - & looks like offering 50cts discount for senior citizens.
Only irritating incident - two inconsiderate diners smoking on the pavement less than 3ft away from my table. They left their coffee on their table, stepped away from âNo Smokingâ to take their puff đĄ. @NEA...
