Gostilna In Pizzeria Grajska Preža — Restaurant in Bled

We picked this restaurant based on Google suggestions. But once arrived here, we were not sure whether we made a right choice. It is facing the busy, main entrance road to the Bled Castle, apparently not so attractive for local, regular customers. However, our worries turned out groundless as we had decent food and services here were OK.

But if it is all about the quality of food or services, I wouldn't make any comment here, because this restaurant provided the food & services as good as a lot of other restaurants we visited in Slovenia did. What made me write about this restaurant is: I left my GoPro7 when I left there and didn't realize I forgot to bring it with me. The whole afternoon passed by until I finally noticed the situation. I called the restaurant biting my nails, but surprisingly the staff said they kept my GoPro safe. It is really a happy experience. I will not forget their honesty and...

We were trying to find a place to eat in Bled - unfortunately with no luck. And then we stumbled on this place - secluded, near the castle, with breathtaking view, and that was a lucky turn of events. The place was authentic (i.e. filled with Slovenian people). The waitress was very helpful and polite. We had grilled meat rolls with side dish (Čevapčiči na žaru s prilogoa traditional Balkan dish) and venison goulash - all very good. The place offers local Slovenian beer - Lasko (whose non-alcoholic and wheat versions is really good). For dessert we took the apple strudel with blackcurrant. It was an original blend of tastes and was really good.

Such a beautiful and delicious restaurant with a wonderful view of the mountains. The food tastes fabulous, and the service is very attentive and friendly. I don't quite understand why so few guests come here, since, as mentioned above, I can only recommend this restaurant. After a brief conversation with the waitress, she was visibly concerned about the increasing number of visitors. Therefore, my appeal to all visitors to Bled: don't just eat in the center, think outside the box and support the smaller restaurants outside...
