Joya Kitchen（Asia food and bubble tea） — Restaurant in Bled

The service was very friendly and quick. The food was good. The prices are also fair. The only bummer was, that some of our vegetable spring rolls had almost none or very little filling. We were also a little disappointed to not find all the food on the menu that we saw on the online menu (e.g. vegetable dumplings, sushi). There is also one star less, because of the environmental aspect: the use of disposable cutlery and plates. Some comments did already mention this aspect. We undestand that the kitchen might not be equipped to do the dishes as the place is very small inside, but maybe one could use more eco-friendly materials than aluminium and plastic. At least for the clients that eat at the place. Also the garbage disposal could be implemented, because - as it appeared - everything was thrown in the same trash can without...

In a normal restaurant, you could probably find amusement for your stomach. While in Joya kitchen, we found not only delicious and authentic Chinese food made by Xiao with passion, but also inspiration and friendship. With an empty stomach for something fast, we ended up having interesting conversations, listening the owner’s interesting stories until 2 AM, and even drinking Jack Daniels in a pub after that. “Baozi is highly recommended! Honestly the food is great here, I had the udon shrimp noodles and Chicken dumplings. The partner had egg fried rice with shrimp. Both were good taste wise just would have liked a little more sauce on the egg fried rice. It’s plain without it. The noodles and shrimp however were really good. Finished it within minutes. The lady at the desk wasn’t very friendly, seemed distracted and a little rude. Assumed we would eat Asian food with forks rather than chopsticks. No real service with a smile.
