An overall enjoyable stay!
The room: We stayed in a room on the fourth floor with a balcony on the backside of the hotel. The room consists of three separate rooms and one bathroom. Because of the three rooms, there is a lot of space but it doesn’t feel very empty or grand, since they’re separated.
Utensils and Comfort: The mattress on the bed is quite hard and potentially uncomfortable if that is not your thing. The bed is also quite short, I am not that tall (177 cm) and I barely fit length wise. There is a lot of storage space in the room and a big couch in the living room to lounge on, even though the cushions do slide off easily. However, when we tried to make a meal in the kitchen, there were a lot of difficulties. The electric stove is confusing to use, there are some missing utensils and the refrigerator is not on originally, so it took some time for it to cool. There are lots of great restaurants in Bled, so I recommend just eating out. The bathroom is a little small, there aren’t many issues when just using it for vanity, but the shower is a little uncomfortable since it is not very spacious and only has a moving door that doesn’t keep the water in sufficiently. It also varies in temperature when on, which is not ideal. The hotel does provide a swimming pool in its sister hotel, which is very big and has lots of tanning beds, some with beautiful views!
Hygiene: The room was clean when we entered, no complaints there!
Service: The hotel staff is very nice! When we had trouble with the stove, they helped us out immediately and effectively. They also keep your luggage safe when not yet checked in or already checked out.
Breakfast: The breakfast is not very extensive, but it’s sufficient. The food is fine and is refilled regularly. Breakfast lasts from 7-10 AM, the hotel also provides a timetable with the most and least popular times for breakfast, so you can estimate the crowd.
To sum up, a pleasant stay and well...
Read moreGreat location and depending on which side you were on, you either had a lovely views on lake Bled or the beautiful mountains in the background! Nice hotel, although attention to detail was lacking a little in my room but another great base to explore the area! From reception you could get free and discounted vouchers for kids for the excursions in and around the lake. The only negative aspect of my stay was the breakfast situation. There was limited choice and very limited tables so it was a bit of a pain having to come down for breakfast, however if you came down early it wasn't an issue and on the last morning we found out that there is a hidden room that you could have breakfast in...if everyone knew then it would have been a much better experience. If I had more money to spend for accommodation, I would opt for the sister hotel next door called the Rikli Balance hotel. Please see my review for it. The great news is that you have a daily free pass to use the facilities at this hotel which has the biggest indoor pool and sauna in the region. Apart from the 2 tier pool with a connecting water slide with a water full and numerous water jets, indoor and outside pools (of different temperatures…..you have the amazing view of Lake Bled, the castle, the famous church on the island the amazing mountains in the background! This was topped off with a lovely cold Lasko beer in the 35...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel after seeing it advertised on a discount/coupon site. The promise of staying in a wellness facility with access to a spa, breakfast, and comfortable rooms seemed to good to pass up. Unfortunately we had an awful time here. It began when we arrived at the hotel. The parking lot was overflowing with cars to the point where cars were parking on the sidewalks and curbs. There was a huge tour bus emptying out and everyone was headed into the hotel, which was not a good sign for us. The hotel's sister hotel is located across the way and shares the same parking lot, so that was part of the problem. The lobby was a madhouse - people everywhere clamoring to get their room keys. It was a long wait to get ours but finally we went up to our room and tried to relax. That wasn't easy to do because the walls here are paper thin. We could hear everyone's conversations and banging from the room above us. We had a cute balcony with a nice country view, so that was a positive, but our overall stay was poor. We attempted to use the "benefit" of the spa area in the sister hotel that night but it was so unbelievably crowded and noisy that we had to leave. Instead we walked around town which is a nice thing to do. It is a short walk down to the lake. Breakfast the next morning wasn't anything special and by that point we just...
