Good things: unlikely most of people have written, we were served by a very friendly gentlemen, he took our order really fast and the food arrived quickly. Very nice and cozy view over the lake with all the beautiful lights. Decently decorated. Warm. In the first sight that’s everything one could wish for on a cold winter evening. And… That’s all what the two stars are for.
Bad things: well, the food. Pizza was more like a pie, cheese was wrong (obviously some cheap local substitute for mozzarella) and made the pizza way too salty. Everybody knows that to make a cheap cheese taste good you should make it salty, but that’s not what you are supposed to use on pizza. Especially at a pizza shop! Cocoa made me cry. It was a cup of warm milk with a tiny teaspoon of cocoa POWDER floating on the top. It was jaw dropping. Mixing up proved it soluble. And barely noticeable - tasted like milk. Well, the color was like milk too. The food was so disappointing that I didn’t proceed ordering a cake after dinner. Absolutely frustrating. My biggest wish was to turn the order back and leave but my son was way too hungry to go around looking for another pizza option.
Overall experience: cheap place with outrageously high prices. 9€ for pizza Margherita? 3.50€ for a cocoa of a kind? Ridiculous. Oh, and listen to this. Not only the prices are double of a reasonable price tag, my favorite item on the menu is the carton box. 0,90€ each. Ha. Ha. Ha. They won’t go far this way. At least I would not come...
Read moreWe were staying at the Park Hotel in Bled and 150 meters away, we went to the Pizzeria Gallus on a very rainy afternoon. We were the only people there. After 15 minutes 6 others came in from the rain. Rok our waiter greeted us, we ordered a Girter draft beer (Austrian) and mineral water and then ordered a garlic/cheese bread which came out piping hot 4 minutes later. We also ordered a Pizza Margarita and a pizza with ham. They were so good. The crust is similar to a Naples style pizza. I thought since Bled was close to Italy it would be a bit more Italian, but it's more Austrian/Slovenian. Rok proudly set us straight, he provided a nice experience for us there. A great place to go which over looks the lake, I wish we could have been there on a nice evening, but we enjoyed our rainy afternoon there. We will be back to Bled and am hoping to visit Pizzeria...
Read moreThe waitress was rude, we had to ask them to clean the table and she didn’t clean properly. We came and ordered 4 pizzas, 2 of them were wrong. One pizza was supposed to be vegan pizza, they didn’t have vegan cheese in stock so we agreed on pizza with veggies and no cheese, which was poorly filled with veggies, but I still had to pay 13 € for pizza. My friend asked for margeritha but with only 1 type of cheese instead of 2, she got both . We said to waitress that the pizzas are not correct and she said that she is not taking any responsibility since she was not the one taking orders, which is true since she there were 2 waitresses serving us so everything got mixed up and one of them was very rude, even rolling her eyes. Never coming back again. I wouldn’t recommend going there. It’s expensive, orders get mixed up, most of the stuff is rude and...
