Oštarija Peglez'n — Restaurant in Bled

The food here is okay. The environment is also okay. But then the worst thing in my restaurant experience in my life happened. The waiter asked do we want a coffee, then we said yeah maybe, then I said can I have a menu cuz I am not sure what do I want to drink. Then the waiter( the middle old aged man among three waiters) said I quote” come one it’s just coffee, I am not gonna go all the way to get you the menu, not possible”. Firstly I thought he was just joking, then he repeated it again mean it. Well I was in shock. Such a legitimate request from a customer in restaurant to ask for a menu. And the restaurant is so small not even 1.5meter to get the menu from my table. The waiter refused it and then insulted me?! (Not the youngest one, not the oldest one, the middle skinny tall one) then in the end of our lunch, the waiter I wish the owner saw this n fired him. Unless he belongs to the family business then I wish this restaurant goes bankrupt with this shitty attitude towards customer. And spoiler alert, the cappuccino they service without giving the customer menu, was awful! There are tons of big bubbles on it and it’s just a coffee with big bubbles not cappuccino. 2 people costed 80 euro. Not worth it! Regret so much to go there, ruined my vacation...

I rarely leave reviews, but I want to defend this amazing little restaurant following recent negative reviews that nearly put me off going. I called to book an hour or so in advance. They said they couldn't promise an outside table, I said no problem......it's last minute and kinda chilly later anyways... I arrived. I was given a lovely table, outside in the sunshine with a view of the castle...I wasn't the solo diner tucked in the corner!! Service was excellent, wine delicious. Food was good rather than exceptional, but perfectly fitting the price point. I had a lovely evening, was just as well looked after as any bigger table and the atmosphere was relaxed and buzzy. It was no issue for me to relax after my food with another glass of wine, no pressure to leave to make space for the next customers. Definitely somewhere I'd recommend for an evening meal in Bled. I'd suggest calling ahead to book though, it is...

Im a bit skeptical of this place… they had two issues that cost them 2 stars. The negative things: The prices are a bit to high for the quality. The food is tasty but i think things are priced 10-20% higher than they should. - 1 star. They brought us some stale bread and a dip (which we did not asked for). They proceeded to charge 2,5 per Person for this. The problem here is firstly that we did not order it, secondly they didn’t communicated that its charged (they gave it to use like it was on the house) and third its was simply not good. So if you give something to someone that is not good, they didn’t ask for and you don’t say it’s charged, the feeling is not positive -1 star. Everything else was good.
