Never again would I book this hotel, arrived at night and initially thought it was run down but this probably applied to ever other hotel . Upon seeing daylight I soon realised this was not the case and I appeared to have booked the oldest looking run down hotel in all of bled ! ||||Advantages to this hotel :||1. View was pretty spectacular (but other hotels that were part of the same chain of hotels and nicer also had the same view) ||2. Reception staff were very nice (but I realised they all work and rotate around the same ‘chain’ of hotels as the jadran so you would get the same hospitality elsewhere) ||3. Croissants were amazing (until I saw one morning them bringing them in store bought so I could’ve just got them elsewhere) ||4. Bed was surprisingly comfy (although the single beds are a bit smaller than your average single bed)||||Disadvantages ||1. The cleaning staff are another level of rude ! (I was woken up at approximately 7:45am every morning by a 2 second knock on the door before they just let themselves in, twice I left the do not disturb sign on my door and twice they just let themselves in anyway. I had been to a wedding so got in at around 3am , at 7:45 sharp there she was standing at the end of my bed whilst I was still sleeping asking me when she could clean my room, after politely saying that I didn’t need it cleaned she still just stood there asking me questions with the do not disturb sign in her hand! I was sleeping in the dark, I had said no multiple times and I had the door not disturb sign on the door so frankly this hands down ruined my holiday and any chances of me giving this hotel more than 2 stars !!)||2. The decor of the places was like something post 1940s, red/green tiles on the wall, dust and stains all over the floor and drip stains on the wall that I don’t even want to know where they came from||3. The bathroom door was broken, as was the patio door and the wardrobe door, so it’s a good job that the cleaners never came in whilst I was having a shower otherwise we would’ve both been in for a surprise ! ||4. The website advertised ‘air conditioning’ which was lovely given that I travelled in 31 degree heat in August, but was bitterly disappointed when I turned up to find that it was actually just a desk...
Read moreMy daughter and i booked into Hotel Jadran for a week's stay in September. We read all of the negative reviews but felt that, for the price, they were potentially a little harsh so decided to risk it. ||||in all honesty, for what we paid for the stay it was perfectly fine and would stay there again should we visit Lake Bled a second time. We had a double lake view room (classed as double but actually 2 single beds pushed together so ideal for us) which was a decent size with a perfectly functional bathroom with shower over bath. The balcony was pleasant enough with a table and 2 chairs. It was clean and basic...what more do you need when you're just sleeping there! We had a fridge but no coffee/tea making facilities which would have been good. ||||As it was a lake view room there was road noise so you do need to be aware of this. It was ok during the night but the traffic starts fairly early so you don't get much of a lie in unless you take ear plugs. There was no noise from inside the hotel/other rooms. ||||Breakfast was ok. Yes we've had better but in hotels where we've paid much more. There was bread, pastries, fruit, cereal, cheese and meats and hot plate with eggs and sausage. Sufficient. The coffee wasn't the best but it was hot and strong! There was also a decent range of teas and juices. ||||The free to guests car park out front is handy though they do fill it up during the day by allowing non guests to park for a fee. That said, the attendant did always find us somewhere to park. ||||It's a bit dated admittedly but you get what you pay for and at the end of the day it's somewhere to sleep and it was clean. What else do you need! Take the 'terrible' reviews with a big pinch of salt if you're more about the outdoor adventures than lounging in a shiney hotel (and in case anyone is wondering...yes, we've done 'shiney' too. There's a time...
Read moreI love this place. I have stayed twice so far and each time I really enjoyed it. The hotel is older but has its special charisma that's totally worth it. It might be the cheapest place to stay in Bled but I wouldn't choose any different. The rooms are cosy, beds comfortable, bathrooms spacy with bathtub and although they could use a little renovation, they do their job sufficiently. All are equipped with a balcony where there's a table and chairs and if they face the lake, the guests are offered an absolutely stunning view all day and night long with the Bled castle proudly standing on the rock and beautifully lit when it gets dark. Jadran is conveniently located close to the centre and because it belongs to the Sava Hoteli chain, the clients can take advantage of free 3 hour entrance to the pool complex in Rikli Balance Hotel nearby. Breakfasts are good, enough fresh and dried fruits, regularly refilled if something is eaten. And I cannot forget the staff at the reception - lovely guys that are willing to help in any situation and nothing is a problem for them. The truth is I visited in February, which is a low season and things might look differently in spring and summer when Bled is overcrowded as currently the most popular tourist spot in the country. Nevertheless, I highly recommend hotel Jadran for...
