Tropical bar — Restaurant in Bled

The food was amazing. The first thing we had was great—it was crunchy and had a fresh, zesty taste. Then, for the main meal, we had a dish that was really creamy and had a deep, rich flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great.

And a big part of that was our waiter, Mihailo. He was incredible from start to finish. He gave us some great recommendations, and when we had a question about a dish, he knew all the details without a second thought. He was friendly and attentive, but never once did we feel rushed. We discovered there aren’t too many breakfast places in Bled outside of bakeries, so we were pleasantly surprised coming across Tropical Lounge.

Breakfasts are reasonably priced and the service is prompt and friendly. Sat outside so can’t really comment on decor; not a huge amount of “ambience” but it does overlook the lake.

Overhearing many people order at the venue next door (tables are situated side by side) they were often told that items were unavailable. This happened on at least 3 occasions in about 2 hours.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. First of all, there was a hair on my glass, which is completely unacceptable. The food itself was clearly not freshly made – it tasted exactly like the kind of frozen meals you can buy in the supermarket and then just heat up. To make things worse, when it came time to pay, they tried to overcharge us almost double the actual bill. Luckily, we noticed before paying, so their attempt didn’t work.
